So “The Road” contains your species’ leaving date for home?

Do you actually know anything about this film beyond tying its storyline into your apocalyptic alien fantasies?

I seriously, seriously doubt it.

The Road is an adaptation of the American novelist Cormac McCarthy’s latest work (2006). If you had bothered to read beyond the film’s bio, you would understand that it is about the beauty of human compassion, the horrors of extreme survival and the undying love between father and son.

There is nothing in the book that even remotely suggests the disaster that befell the world has anything to do with aliens.

That is your reality and no one else’s.

Through encounters with other survivors brutal, desperate or pathetic, the father and son are both hardened and sustained by their will, their hard-won survivalist savvy, and most of all by their love for each other. They struggle over mountains, navigate perilous roads and forests reduced to ash and cinders, endure killing cold and freezing rainfall. Passing through charred ghost towns and ransacking abandoned markets for meager provisions, the pair battle to remain hopeful. They seek the most rudimentary sort of salvation. However, in The Road, such redemption as might be permitted by their circumstances depends on the boy’s ability to sustain his own instincts for compassion and empathy in opposition to his father’s insistence upon their mutual self-interest and survival at all physical and moral costs.

So, following your line of thought, what do the other books by Mr. McCarthy tell us?

Outer Dark? Does that book reflect the bleak pessimism of your race’s sojourn here on earth? Do the implied parables contained within it expose the struggle of the Zetan’s mission whilst on a foreign planet?

Child of God? Are we reading of your selfless yet murderous labors in keeping your existence secret?

No Country For Old Men? Is this an attempt at mythologizing your super human abilities to track down Mexican drug dealers?

Blood Meridian? Let me guess; your race’s adventures during their Indian-Hunter days?

I would wager anything that you have not the slightest inkling about the author of the above books, never mind the incredible human stories he writes of.

Why?
