You are correct, but that is over a lot's of years.

We all know of the corruption of the defence dept.
Don't get me wrong, I agree with you that it needs to be fixed.

That has nothing to do with dumping 1.15 trillion in one day.

That money got spent on secret projects, so in effect, it just did not go in some bankers pocket.

Indeed!, it strikes me as particularly odd the "fox" has taken up the NWO crusade. I personally take as an indication that events are coming to a head. Hope you've been stockpiling supplies.

If Glenn Beck is who you people have for a source for "the truth" and "information" this site is as bs as fox news and any other site. Glenn Beck has your interests in mind about as much as Bush does. At his best, he's the racist idiot uncle. at worst, a stooge. Glad to know where you people get your information.

You created your ATS logon today to give us this gem of wisdom? Please go crawl back into the hole you came out of. We need more people in the media like Glenn Beck. Some people may not like his style but at least he is trying. Instead of bashing Beck and others like him why don't you actually contribute something useful to the thread and refute what he is saying with some facts?

I'm not sure how to "craw" into a hole, but I'll try. I could show you the quite obvious lack of facts in the bile that beck says, but if I have to show it to you, then you're not worth the time. anymore than it's worth debating pat robertson about the flaws in ID.

Also, saying we need more glenn becks is like saying we need another sean hannity. Beck is nothing more than Hannity Light.

People who listen to wing nuts are always hyperventilating. But don't burst their bubble. Or at least wait. It's fun to watch them all hysterical; I marvel at how they can take a few pieces of information, misinterpret some of them and then come up with these fantastic conspiracy theories, all of which are going to happen "soon." And some of them just have a compelling need to hate somebody. They're funny too! They get enraged when people disagree with them, and of course they know the only possible explanation is that those people are stupid, ignorant and clueless.

The OP is so right is not funny the truth already is coming out

What is going on behind the backs of the tax payer in the nations is short of the biggest robbery in history, and all we do is complain about AIG.

U.S. Pumping Billions into Foreign Central Banks

According to the Huffington Post, for over a year now the U.S. Federal Reserve has been pumping hundreds of billions of dollars into foreign central banks, which are then using the funds to bailout financial institutions inside their own borders.

“The program has so far gone unreported in the mainstream media and is a major expansion of Federal Reserve involvement in the global economy,’ Ryan Grim of the Huffington Post writes. “It represents a stark break from the prior role of the Fed, moving it into territory more traditionally occupied by the International Monetary Fund (IMF).”

You're right everything is going great, I am just to stupid to realize that the dollar is not going to collapse after the fed prints trillions out of thin air with nothing backing it and the UN is recommending that the world drop the dollar as the reserve currency. It's all good, Obama will fix everything.

Truly sorry to here that , we here sometimes joke tounge in cheek, but thats no joking matter.. My brother in law lost his job at Stelco after 28 yrs , its very real

It is a sad state of affairs. Just to let you know you are not alone in the US, I am now out of work for the first time in 37 years over here in the UK. We will probably lose our home and I may have to file for bankruptcy.

I work in building design and the construction industry is being hit particularly hard. Many companies have found it impossible to gain support from their banks and have either had to fold or make massive redundancies.

When you're out of work here - and if you're lucky you can claim Jobseeker's Allowance - which is £60.50 ($87.10) per week, for up to six months - and that is how much we are expected to live on.

A loaf of bread costs around £1.20 ($1.73) and petrol (gasoline) is currently the equivalent of $5.45 per US gallon. My wife and I live alone in a relatively small, three-bedroom house in town - and our domestic fuel bill is £190.00 ($273.60) per month. Our house mortgage has now dropped to £560 ($806.40) per month. If you smoke - cigarettes are around £5.25 ($7.56) for a single pack of twenty.

Because I have a small Army pension, my Jobseeker's Allowance is cut by that amount. My unemployment benefit (jobseeker's allowance) per week is actually less than what I used to be paid per hour when I was working. My wife receives £1.85 ($2.66) jobseeker's allowance per week - and no, that's not a mis-type.

Believe me, you may have problems in the US - but you definitely are not alone.

could the collapse of the US dollar be followed by a move to create, or come out with a new currency?? The old currency would be worth nothing, and you would have to exchange the old for the new. The old "hidden " money would then be able to be taxed, as the IRS didn't "know" about it before the exchange.
After the experiation of the official exchange date, you wouldn't be allowed to use the old money for anything. Can anyone see a connection to a "mark of the beast" thing going on here??????

You will have to step up your "Morals" in order to be United.

If alot of people don't wake up and quit spending time trying to defend Obama, we might just get somewhere.

I could feel sorry for Obama as you people expect way too much for just a man. With his experence level, there is no way he can fix any of this.

As far as stepping up morals, we each do the right thing and lead by example. We have to keep trying and some are so there's hope.

Defending Obama is a response to those that are blaming him for this unholy mess. Everyone here ought to know the true situation by now in that you don't get to be president without having globalist bed partners. There aren't 2 parties, only one and they all are playing along like they didn't know. But to think Obama being on Leno makes a hill of beans is droll.

Obama's task isn't to fix this but to guide the plane down without killing everyone now that the engines are out, the wheels have been sheared off, and the only place to land is the middle of a forest. No, you're right, without revolutionary action, it's not fixable by anyone.

yes, and you damn well know what I mean. You want facts as to why beck or hannity is wrong? turn on their shows for 30 seconds. write everything they say down. then post it here. then realize that everything they say is factually incorrect and is self serving crap. I will go through the bile for you, and show you how everything they say is inherently full of piss and is only meant to boost themselves up and make you think they are populist heroes. I have no time for millionares who feign populism and act as though taxation alone is the greatest threat to liberty. "I'm just like you. Because you have a driver who takes you from your 200 acre 8 bed 8 bath mansion to the studio after your butler wakes you up. Because you work 1 hour a day for about 20k a minute. because you get paid to lie and yell at people and your co workers."

So what if there's a new monetary system? Maybe it will be better.

The gov. goes through all of this stuff to keep the economy from collapsing completely, and it's working.

Now they use it as an opportunity to create a new monetary system, wouldn't that be a good thing?

We're complaining in the US that our gov. is doing these things and in France they're rioting because they thing their gov. isn't doing enough.

There would have been a lot (A LOT) more people who have lost their jobs if the gov. didn't take the action that they did.

Does anyone not agree with that?

I think it's easy to be all doom and gloom in the current crisis, but people are starting to let this get out of perspective and feed their worst fears.

The stark truth is that like it or not, the US is the engine that makes the capitalist world work. American's rampant consumerism coupled with their high work output (earnings potential) plus our large population makes us the trash can that countries like China continue to pour all their mass produced, sub-standard products in to.

They have a need to keep the monster alive so that it will continue to feed, and everyone else is in the same boat to varying degrees.

For that reason I don't forsee the collapse that so many are speaking of. An adjustment sure, much like the one that occurred in the early 80s, but not a collapse.

I understand that many have lost their jobs and that countless billions have been wiped off the value of stocks, but purely on an anecdotal basis, my company emplys 26,000 people and we are hiring, plus we just made our bonus numbers for 2008, and my neighbor was giving me similar news about his company.

When we go out for dinner on a Friday night the retaurants and bars are packed with people, we'll be in Vegas in 3 weeks so I'll see how much quieter the casinos look.

But from my perspective, the only bad news I'm seeing is all being generated by the media. So I have to ask myself if the real conspiracy is that things just aren't THAT bad.

I completely agree. I remember the mid-late 70's when there was very high unemployment AND there was a huge energy crisis. Gas had to be rationed, there were "gas lines", etc.

Then in the early 80's there was a 12% unemployment rate? It was worse then it is now, and the gov had to step in to fix things, and they did.

No one got carted away to concentration camps, there was no martial law, and there wasn't any mass executions.

I think one of the problems with most of the doom wishers is that they weren't even born in the 70's or early 80's to remember any of that stuff. Most people here were just born in the late 70's or early 80's so most of their lives have been lived in a very stable and prosperous period of American history.

Back in the 70's and early 80's we heard on TV new everyday how unemployment rate was going up, that we had an energy crisis, and threat of nuclear war with the USSR.

NOW, can any of these doom wishers remember any of your grandparents (or great grandparents in most cases). Want to know a real "scary" situation?

If any of you know or have known anyone who lived during the Great Depression, and if they have ever told you what it was like you will know that what we're going through now is small in comparison.

Not only did many (many) people lose their jobs, they went on to starve, or come close to starving. Then you had the Dust Bowl crops, where all of our farmland turned to dust for a few years.

These people (my grandparents) learned how to survive when things got really hard, what to eat, how to eat for very little money, how to grow your own food and how to help your neighbors.

*In other words, we've been here before, it was worse and we all got through it. When things get tough don't start crying the sky is falling, learn how to help yourself and your neighbors!

Ok so Beck in the videos that started this thread, says the Fed bought up US Treasury Bonds and printed over a trillion dollars out of thin air. Are you going to argue this as fact?

The other things I heard him say that history shows this leads to hyperinflation and the destruction of currency. Are you going to argue this too?

Oh ya he says we will have a 2 trillion dollar deficit this year.

Beyond that were his opinion that congress is out of control spending like there there is no tomorrow and AIG bonuses were a distraction from the Fed buying treasury bonds.

What about that do you want to argue about? Or did you even bother to watch the videos?

I would be willing to give you the benefit of the doubt because up until very recently Fox News was completely useless and most of it still is.

Other than that grow up.

Why don't you go and research the facts and come and here and present an intelligent argument rather than your child like sarcasm and passive aggressive insults?

I love how you get all angry because I'm not buying your line of thinking. I never attacked anyone because of what they believe, you did.

But go ahead and believe what you believe. And that it's all the fault of Obama and the left. Makes perfect sense. Obama has been president for two months and the democrats have onle held a majority in the legislature for two years (after 12 years of a republican majority and 6 years of a republican steamroller). You know, it's really amazing how much damage they did in such a short period of time. And you want to know why? It should be obvious. There are two reasons: some of them are scum and some of them are stupid. And I wouldn't doubt there are a few devil worshippers in there too.
