Soldiers pledge to refuse disarmament demands

An invitation to soldiers and peace officers across the United States to pledge to refuse illegal orders – including "state of emergency" orders that could include disarming or detaining American citizens – has struck a chord, collecting more than 100,000 website visitors in a little over a week and hundreds of e-mails daily.

Spokesman Stewart Rhodes of Oath Keepers told WND his organization's goal is to remind military members their oath of allegiance is to the U.S. Constitution, not a particular president.

He said the organization deliberately does not collect the names of those who subscribe to Oath Keepers' beliefs because of their status mostly as active duty soldiers

This looks to be the best way to gage how our troops and LEO's will react to illegal orders by a regime in DC thats hellbent to disarm American citizens to further their socialist, one party agenda! More and more soldiers and law enforcement are under pressure to submit to illegal actions under illegal laws passed by a government that badly needs to be reigned in!

This is a summary of the oath that these people are taking from the Oath Keepers website. An explanation for each of these is in the full text version.

Declaration of Orders We Will NOT Obey

Recognizing that we each swore an oath to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic, and affirming that we are guardians of the Republic, of the principles in our Declaration of Independence, and of the rights of our people, we affirm and declare the following:

1. We will NOT obey orders to disarm the American people.

2. We will NOT obey orders to conduct warrantless searches of the American people

3. We will NOT obey orders to detain American citizens as “unlawful enemy combatants” or to subject them to military tribunal.

4. We will NOT obey orders to impose martial law or a “state of emergency” on a state.

5. We will NOT obey orders to invade and subjugate any state that asserts its sovereignty.

6. We will NOT obey any order to blockade American cities, thus turning them into giant concentration camps.

7. We will NOT obey any order to force American citizens into any form of detention camps under any pretext.

8. We will NOT obey orders to assist or support the use of any foreign troops on U.S. soil against the American people to “keep the peace” or to “maintain control.”

9. We will NOT obey any orders to confiscate the property of the American people, including food and other essential supplies.

10.We will NOT obey any orders which infringe on the right of the people to free speech, to peaceably assemble, and to petition their government for a redress of grievances.

You said it yourself! This is the perfect way for "them" TO WEED OUT THE SOLDIERS AND COPS WHO WON'T FOLLOW THEIR ORDERS!!!

I'm just saying, what a wonderful way to have a database of all soldiers/law enforcement to send to the camps along with everyone else!

This is RIDICULOUS. SO WHAT if they pretend they will support us, and the constitution? They ALREADY have disarmed most of America of the only weapons that are relevant; those weapons we could resist the tyranny of our owners~ assault weapons. The 2nd amend. was placed solely to arm the citizens against such despots, according to one of it's writers. They currently have us outgunned, so they promise not to take our slingshots away? Big friggin deal. They are already traitors, by supporting our current disarmament.

I assume that you are referring to our Political Representatives, and not our Service Personnel, correct?

I am glad to know that all hope is not lost here in America. That there are some people out there that have their heads screwed on straight. I know now I will not have guns ripped from me.

Could this be the start of a militia against the government if the order the rounding up. I know it was reported on Rush's show today that police in Missouri are to approach those who have Ron Paul bumper stickers as dangers and potentially hostile people.

This government can't be salvaged. They are so open about their corruption and criminal activities that this "government" is simply too far gone.

Honestly, I can't believe our people are so dumbed down that we are not in a civil war right now. As a history buff, I don't think this passitivity will last much longer.

Now about the OP specifically, I see a straw man. Where are you seeing this demand to disarm you? That would violate the second ammendment of the US Constitution which forms the basis of MY GOVERNMENT which I wish to keep. This fear mongering is a bunch of hooey meant to confuse the public and hold off real reform until the you know whos get back in government and bring on FULL ON fascism as that was the trend for 8 years. I lived through it.

It's all well and good to sign a pledge but the reported reason for such a pledge is based on hearsay and wild speculation that assumes all that are not like you will do whatever is possible to get your guns.

I have every confidence the majority of our military would side with the people.

The PTB realize that as well and hence we have agreements to bring in Mexican, Canadian and/or UN troops... er I mean "Peacekeepers".

They can also choose to go the paid professional route a la Blackwater during Katrina

I'm afraid that one has to be cautious. This could be a giant data base to tag the militia who serve the constitution and the American people over corrupt leaders and illegal laws.

Hmmmm....both are explicit....

Some of those numbers..from the "Fake Oath" could be considered unconstitutional......but the ones that are not in direct conflict with the Constitution if they were ordered by the Chief Executive then you'd be breaking your original oath....

Where have you been the last 100 years? Every gun law on the books is ILLEGAL. Laws only serve to restrict the law-abiding. Criminals don't care much for law, that's why they are criminals. Our government is systematically stripping our Constitution bare, through law after law after law. It's only a matter of time before you wake up, and this government that you so fondly declare love for, will be gone, and replaced by something reminiscent of Hitler's Germany during WWII. It's coming, and unless the mindsets of the American people change, we aren't going to be able to stop it.

Don't care, I find offensive. I think the site is wanting us to assure the conspiracy nuts that we won't come after them in the night like the boogey man.

If you can't take my word that I won't hurt you, then nothing I can do about it.

I took one oath already, I don't need to take another for their peace of mind.

I'm betting its pretty easy to get counted into their "numbers" even if your not in the service or ever have been. Bogus site with Bogus info. You cant prove any of their numbers are accurate.
