At approximately 4:30pm (half an hour ago) here in Victoria, Australia, I felt what must have been another earth tremor. I don't know if there would already be another post about this, but I just find these tremors strange since I can't recall us ever having any before a couple of years ago.

We had a few last year and now two in the last fortnight, the other being around the 6th. Why are we suddenly having more tremors recently?

As it's just happened, I don't have any information on it, but with all the other strange things happening with the weather and everything lately, it really makes me wonder. Anyone care to give information concerning this?

I am seeing chatter coming in about that too but the USGS doesn't have it yet. I am hearing 4.2-4.6 but that is through the grapevine and not official at all.

Volcano erupted off Tonga.
We are bound to get something here.
I didn't feel it as I was driving at the time.
Tonga is off east coast of Australia.
I don't think it would be related.
More people would have felt it in NSW QLD.

Thanks, I didn't notive there was already a discussion on this issue. I was just curious and thought it was something worth noting. But thank you for the replies.
