what designation is this APC?

Looks like M113 but it isn't.

its an M44 APC , can carry 25 troops and 2 crew and was based on the M24 chafee tank

If you look closely at the troops to the rear of the track, the uniforms and weapons put them in the late 50's or early 60's era.

From the initial view, it does bear a passing similarity with the M113, especially with the spacing & layout of the road wheels.

But when you click on the picture and zoom in on the blow up, it closely resembles an early LVTP or a LVTP/M113 variant.

As a former British Army Recognition Instructor, I can honestly say this has got me stumped! I will get digging.

I will have to agree on the M75(m44 APC). the photo looks to be around the 50's time frame(imo), and the M113 didn't see service till the 60's

the M113's also seem to look a tad smaller then the vehicle in the picture.
