I'm saying that the vehicle for our success had that flat tire. We should see the overall affect, in that those of us who escape the initial crash
with poverty, in some respects still become injured by flying debris. We escaped that but because no well economic policy was present we are raped
right back into some aspect of poverty. The "step up" shouldn't have the sag in it, it should be firm. The sag is going to be the sign that soon
you will fall through to the basement.
I just beleive that if you cannot live on less than $17.81/hr then you should at least be given $280/mth in food stamps, without any other qualifier.
Here, "single" has been discounted. You do not only become young and single but also old and single. The "old age fund" is gone. The "30 year
plan" is dead. Now what ever economic assistance plan they have should be directed toward present or future need levels. We may have come along some
way, but we should understand the way that must be made in the future.
