This is my second line

Am I the only one that is tired of seeing the useless "this is my second line" added to posts. To me posts like that actually detract from the thread more than the one liners.

People if your one line response is relevant to the post there is absolutely no need in blabbing about a second line. I believe I have been guilty of this early on but I now am recovered addict.

And bring them on I realize that this thread is going to be filled to the brim with one liners

I totally agree with you. I have lost thousands of points for one liners...i dont do it anymore, though. I learned my lesson. Now i just ramble on incoherently (sp), someone is bound to listen.

The one line rule is about stuff that is not relevant or adding anything to the topic discussion,

Like... YEA! or Im kinda hungry right now. OR simply just a smiley,


SO don't fear the one line as long as its relevent to the topic

Second line:

Frivolity aside...It really ticks me when people add "second line" for the sake of a second line. I know exactly how you feel.

Maybe we should get a reminder mass U2U clarifying the stance on single line postings, much in the same we we are reminded about civility etc...

You would think people can use common sense with it tho.

Ant, I cannot say that I disagree wit ya on dat topic of discussion. That just grinds my gears like a stock car when I see something like that. Makes me wanna say, "Look, you are here to state you opinionin a civilized and in a large way. Just don't go around here making these little two or three line posts."

Maybe its just a quick and lazy way to rack up the points.
