Do Who With the What, Now?

BIAD isn't familiar with that phrase.
'Lickle' is instead of 'Little' it implies a softness and it
may be that BIAD was too familiar!

Ahhh! So all three of us have learned something from one another today.

Coolio!
I was of the same thought as Neno, that "knock you up" meant to come a-rapping on the door.
Did you know we consider nappies to be times of brief sleep? And what you wrap on a baby's bum is a diaper...? And a biscuit is actually a cookie?

Here's one for ya, though, which I've never got clear on. We have these things called English Muffins. Do you have them, and are they just called "muffins"? Cause for us, a muffin is a little cake, about the size of an apple.

Diapers are occasionally known as nappies, it'a an old term
that is still used on TV advertising, but I hear the word diaper
more and more being used.

Ah... muffins, and you asked someone who bakes!
We do have the small cakes called muffins, at the moment we
offer Blueberry and Cheescake and Double-Chocolate Chip.

BIAD assures me he was a Doctor at some time on another
planet and says they are good for you

English Muffins ar the flat-ish scone-like bread that are usually
eaten at breakfast.
Just North of me, they have a delicacy called 'Stottie Cakes'...
BIG muffins!

Kay, guys, I've taken the liberty of drawing a scene in which Adam, Death, Pandora, the Splitter, Dag, Brittle, Fiona, Ben and Sslar are ALL placed by yours truly....

Hope it hasn't screwed up anyone's plans....if so, I can make it all "a dream".....

But, since our index thread seems to be stalling....
here's my entry for it.

writer = wildtimes
Page: 64
Post on page: 4
New NPC: none
New term: none
Pic or tune? Two pics and a tune.
Brief outline: Adam, adrift on the bog, is watched by Death, Pandora, and the Splitter. Death and Pandora move away, and the Splitter steps up to assist Adam, who has just realized the truth of Love and Ethereal Oneness. Back at the ranch, Dag and Brittle are outfitted and on their way down Copperhead Road, and Fiona tells Ben to keep the Caliburn with him until further notice.

*Hugs all round!!*
Fondly,
---wt

He'll soon be available for your dream.

There... just... aren't... words....

Sorry - I'm on a gutter-minded roll this evening. Had to change my signature for the occasion based upon a conversation I was having too much fun with in another thread!

Dyslexics of the world, UNTIE!

I'm charging against the SOPA legislation in the US - I don't believe we need a Great Firewall ala the Chinese version over here, and so got the notion for the banner/mourning band from the Twitter campaign. There's a thread about the banner here.

SOPA - (SOE-puh, n.)

1) The brand of soap one uses to wash brains.

2) Pending US legislation, rooted in the concept of brainwashing.

Just in case it hits the news there, the mass shooting at the lumber mill in NC wasn't mine - it was another one a few miles south of here.

We're all still bored at this one, and that's just the way I like it.

hy guys....
Okay, I just read BIAD's last escapade...
I think Adam, who is now in the hands of the Splitter, might be meeting back up with BIAD soon? Perhaps another sojourn with Death and Pansy....

And I'm tinkering with the idea that the Splitter can get him to the actual Avalon desination so he is the first to arrive...the Splitter gets him through the mist without need for the official "barge" (which would not have come for him anyway, him not being a priestess and all).

So he will get there first (Adam), and find Bridget and Bella there, who will escort him to the Naica cave. That is where he will find Gert (in glamour form) and meet up with the Merlin. BIAD knows his way there, perhaps, and the Splitter is in cahoots with the Lady and Merlin...part of his objective is to get Avalon back in the real world as well, and sees these well-meaning noobs are in need of an assist. Plus he's getting impatiient.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, I don't know what's up with Maggie et all, but we have established that Ben had the Caliburn and took off....
so I hope I didn't screw up any plans your your parts with that.

I left Ben at the outfitters' camp, with Sslar, and Fiona telling him to keep the Caliburn safe....but she doesn't know that he had already transferred it to Dag's rig, knowing (via Sslar?) that Dag was going to be the first of the heroic posse to arrive at Fairy Stone Mountain and thence through the portal to Avalon. (Where Adam and Gert and probably BIAD will be waiting). *gasp* (the muse just whipered in my ear, 'BIAD is the Merlin'...oh noez....!! ????? To which revelation I replied, 'Fer reelz?'
) Or maybe it's Tibbs?

Which of these are workable, team? I've got some images uploaded for use in the posts; of the Naica Cave and a lovely Gert in a snowy surround...

May I proceed? Or are my machinations out of gear with the workings of the overlords of the Splitter, BIAD, Death, Pandora, Ben and Sslar, and the Caliburn?

Hope to hear back regarding these ideas.....
hugs!!
EDIT to fix my lame-o formatting (left hand is half numb from carpal tunnel smashage, brain is half numb from lack of coffee...) and
to
thank
BIAD for the most important HUGGZ BAKK!!

Any and all are workable, but as BIAD has just told me, "what is the most important
is 'Hugs-Back!"

I'll wait to hear from neno re the Caliburn idea....but at least wanted to get my thoughts jotted down before the muse took off to meet with others in need (and perhaps in warmer and more fertile climes...busy busy Musey)....

and hope we hear from Silo again soon...
regarding Chums, and Carpet on his debut solo-flight

and very glad to hear that nenothtu is safe and sound and bored enough for his brilliance to continue to shine on us all!!

I got in a rush to leave the house this evening, and left my eyes there, so I'm typing by feel - thus the occasional egregious typo will doubtless work it's way in, since under the best of times I have to read and re-read for typos at least 3 times, and I just ain't gonna strain myself this evening...

RE: The Caliburn - neno has no idea of the significance of the sword, only that it "fits", and has a souls of it's own. That's not unusual - particular swords through the centuries have been referred to as "living steel" or "the soul of the warrior' etc. As far as he's concerned, it's just an old sword that he found laying in a rusty pile in a dragon cave, that was oddly warm to his touch, as if a living thing in it's own right. The Caliburn has never sang to him, or talked to him, or made him a cup of coffee - he just knows that he's gotten attached to it over time.

Maybe the combination of neno-Caliburn that became a mowing machine in the hallway of the Guardians ought to have clued him in, but neno hasn't come to grips with what other folks perceive of as "supernatural" - it's just "hyper-matural" to him, something to be taken as a matter of course, as it comes.

It's just a sword to neno - an odd one, to be sure, but just a sword. He's not hip to "Caliburn", 'Avalon", the Arthurian Mythos, and all that stuff. He'll be more ticked of at Ben for bailing out and leaving him for dead than he will be that Ben sent the sword into an "otherworld".. It won't get all that interesting to him until he finds out that Death want it for some undisclosed purpose. Machinations and intrigues he IS hip to, and if Death wants it that bad, you can be sure neno is going to want Death to NOT get it.

Which means he'll have to go to the Otherworld to protect or retrieve it, once he gets out of his current jam...

As far as Merlin goes, it's my understanding that Merlin got his start as a crazy old Welsh druid named Myrrddin who wandered the woods of 6th century England, back when there weren't any "Welshmen" - the whole island south of the Firth of Forth (to the north the Irish Scotti tribe and the various Pictish tribes held sway) belonged to the Welsh, who were called Britons - the Romans had recently bailed out, and the Angles and Saxons were just carving out a toehold. Now, BIAD, Tibbs, or neno could fit the description of a "crazy old guy wandering the woods", but it seems to me they've been too busy of late to have sparked that particular legend, so my money says Merlin is some other crazy old guy wandering the British countryside.

I saw Death this evening, wandering the streets of my town. He had on a light tan "hoodie" and black jeans, but the disconcerting thing was that inside the hoodie where a face ought to have been, there was nothing but blackness. Not black skin, or a ski mask, just - nothingness, a black void. It jerked me up short when I saw that. He wasn't as tall as I remember him... and I think I cam still whup him!

Silo (maggie) is on her way with the unnamed attendant to help Gep and Pip. No indication if Gep will survive.

Believing Neno is safely drugged Margo - after arranging for Mac’s burial - will be headed for Gep also.

I’ll see if I can get something posted about the two Tumbler’s who’re squabbling somewhere outside the compound along with charting the progress of Chumley and Carpet both who look remarkably like Neno and are either just entering or in the Compound.

Neno, crawling around on the floor is better than dead. He’s probably gotten into his boots by now and I’ll leave it at that as I’ve no idea if he’ll go for Taggart first (cut off the head of the snake) or if he’ll check for Silo first (where he’d find her with Margo, Gep and Pip). I’ve not been to the story line yet today so maybe that’s already been taken care of? I dunno.

Off to feed the baby bunnies - again - then I’ll get to work.

Good Sunday ya’ll.

Hi all (even though I've replied to Neno!)

It's a very frosty Sunday morning here in the UK, brrrrr!
BIAD is reluctant to wander the garden, he usually goes and
talks to the odd Robin that pops on the fence... it's disconcerting
-to say the least.

I was dabbling with the idea of convincing Lancelot to obtain the
Excalibur for me, due to catching him in a compromising position
with Guinevere.
Certainly, BIAD isn't going to give the sword to Death and his 'squeeze'
but he wanted to hurl it into the Lake and ergo, set it up to move into
another age.
Discuss?!!

The thing is, I see Neno grabbing the sword out of the air as it sails
towards the water and that would mean that he would have to travel
to Avalon... so, I'm in limbo with what to do.

As Penelope Pit-Stop would say 'hehelp!'

I've no problem with that, as long as Death doesn't get it. The Lady of the Lake kept it safe for aeons, so it'll probably be safe there, and neno is otherwise disposed at the moment, preoccupied form coming to rescue it - and he doesn't even know it's in danger (or even off of his horse) at the moment,

"Odd robin"? All of mine are fairly normal, not odd at all.... well, there IS that smallish one, with the twitch...

BIAD has a twitch... you don't think it's the same one do you?

hm...Robpecker? Woodbin? Prolly Woodbin is the better choice...

Silo! Nice to see yaz! HUG

Okay, so , I'll go with what I had, sounds like we can work with it...

as far as Lancelot goes, that's cool -- (I assume you're referring to our Brittle, right?)....
Yeah, he was a naughty boy with Gwenn.....Bad Brittle!

Okay, I'll start the drafts today -- but left hand still numb...don't think it's gonna hold up to the end...

Why is it I hear Woody-Woodpecker's laugh in my head?

I'm nearly there where BIAD gets the sword, throws it in the lake and
then sets off to Stonehenge... with hopes of jaunting back to the correct
time... whatever that means!

I think BIAD wasn't a Lancelot fan!

Okay, well, much to my surprise, in the Vandalia time-frame, Brittle and Dag have just been assaulted by a copperhead, and rescued by Sslar....
the Caliburn is now too hot to handle.
