You brought up Silo's 'father'... That has me really intrigued.

The original Silo was 'made' at LAB. But, there was question of U-Man DNA slipped into the 'soup' that made her. Trying to keep some kind of bloodline alive. Which fits right in with The Neno story line!!! (ALL COOL)!!!

So, LAB 'made' the original S.I.L.O including some specific DNA, then destroyed the other 1-12 Silo's.

My question.

Who at LAB wanted to make sure Silo had that DNA needed to make Neno, and, who would be the 'second' Silo's father be?

Interesting stuff that. Nothing that needs to be answered right now but something to keep in mind maybe?

Oh noes! I can see this morphing into a complicated version of "I'm MY Own Grandpa" for neno!

Naaaah... It might explain his apparent mental problems to some extent, but that would just get too weird....

PS - Are you gonna get that heel fixed or start carrying it strapped to your thigh? THAT sounds way cool.

edit on 7-7-2011 by silo13 because: forgot to add pic, lol...

Yes, those legs are dipped in horse dung every night and kept in a Greenhouse throughout
the summer!
I'm gonna sit down over the weekend and put some connections together regarding
'who-did-what' to hint at whob is Nenothtu's father... it'll be interesting!

Do you wish Adam to return?
Remember, BIAD has a 'hotline' to his brother -Death and I reckon if Neno growls
then that old thing in the black robes will jump!

I'd love to have Adam return...but...alas... What I'm saying is I think I got what I wished for way back when before we had the fight I posted something about how in my opinion it should be heinous. That we couldn't keep getting off scot-free on these encounters. Yeah, got what I wished for alright...
But thank you.

Then again! Who am I to say? What is Death whispering in your ear?

Scot Free

Dred Scott was a black slave born in Virginia, USA in 1799. In several celebrated court cases, right up to the USA Supreme Court in 1857, he attempted to gain his freedom. These cases all failed but Scott was later made a free man by his 'owners', the Blow family. Knowing this, we might feel that we don't need to look further for the origin of 'scott free'. Many people, especially in the USA, are convinced that the phrase originated with the story of Dred Scott.

or...

Scot as a term for tax has been used since then to mean many different types of tax. Whatever the tax, the phrase 'scot free' just refers to not paying one's taxes.

No one likes paying tax and people have been getting off scot free since at least the 11th century.

What is Death whispering in your ear? ...

I sometimes see him passing in the street, a man or woman with a unseen
burden and a faint shadow follows closely. BIAD sees if differently than me,
I fear him -but the Man/Girl hoots and claps at the sight of his brother...
an existence that I cannot fathom.

When I was growing up, my mother used to wake every night and scream that
Death was in the room and whispering to her. There was an altercation many,
many years ago with a WWII soldier ona train and he attempted to strangle her.
She said that was when she first seen Death looking over his shoulder.

So that's maybe where the connection is, huh?!

I see Death over my shoulder - there, just there, and then gone.
I can't fathom BIAD's view either... Until recently that is.
Now Death is the next great adventure.

Your mom? Has her 'shadow man' ever gone away?

And yeah, maybe that is where it comes from...

As for Adam? I'll just have to wait and see... Between now and then Dag has run the skull and crossbones up the flagpole and is ready, so ready for that 'next great adventure'...

The pic is just too fab! Complimenti!

Sadly, my Ma passed on many years ago and maybe she got to
give him a sore ear for hovering too much!

And yeah, maybe that is where it comes from...

It may well be, she was always into Spirits and such, her upbringing
led her to believe the 'next bit' was just in another room that we weren't
privvy to.
I know may Father always chuckled at her beliefs, but she always told
me that we have many miles to go after this visit here.
Thanks for the compliment!!

I'm attempting to find an image that I can alter to show Silo
in a different pose from the profile on your avatar... any suggestions?
It's becoming a quest of mine!

Ahhhh a quest of mine too. I tried once, and it came out pretty horrible. I'm still looking myself.

The way you've described her now is she's in a (tight) bodice and kind of a barmaid outfit. I was going to suggest (and forgot) in the story line that she changed into bodice and leather type pants (oh how that skirt would be a detriment while fighting dragons) - so - I'll stick that in soon. For now I'm leaning towards a leather vest, leather pants and that's about that other than her knife.

I wish I could help, as, I'm trying too!!!

I've been trying to learn to 'do it myself' on CS5 but I've just not had the time. I'm not giving up yet I really want to learn to do all my own pics, etc.

Have a great weekend!

EDIT TO ADD:

Tried this - hated it! LOL

Open question: Where is the Green Man now?[/] I remember it was on Sslar, then in the flight vehicle, but from there? Did it get back to Silo? Hmmm...

Works for me!

Thanks BIAD for asking - I'd of not gotten back on that horse today if you hadn't and I wouldn't have ended up coming up with the above!

Have a better day even!

That damned nose of yours! it's causing me problems.
I'm tooling around with some images and the famous Silo
-nose is making me curse!

Can we make it so in the next episode, Silo gets her nose
stolen?

Just kidding!

Anda standing there with that throwing-knife in your
hand and that Tavern-girl determined jaw-line... er,
let's just leave your nose where it is, huh?!

Jawline? Ok I guess - I hate the weak chin through.
But yeah, leave the nose. *Wink*
Thanks again for the 'stewts-zi-karr-rah' = phonetic spelling of a Sicilian word for, well, lighting a fire under me arse, lol, not to mix ethnicity! It's a great thing you gave me a poke this morning.

Beyond that, I was wondering... We're not even close to finding the 'slaves' in the mines (The Carnival's/Culls), and there's a way to go... Question being, how long do you want to draw it out? I was kind of getting the hint it was going to get a bit 'Indiana Jones' for a bit...getting wherever we were going that is...

As soon as I sort my episode out (I got caught up in the Hoax thread again!)...
I'll hit Adobe Photoshop and build up an image of our lilac-haired girl.
Sorry for the delay and yes, it does seem like we have a long way to go.

Time to pick-up the pace?

I'm taking that invite seriously.... Trying to sculpt that face out in DAZ. If I'm successful, I can export it as a file that can be applied locally to the "Victoria 4.2" character in DAZ Studio, and you can apply it to the model there, on your machine, with just a mouse click, and not have to sculpt it out on your own.

This means, if you're using DAZ, you can then pose the figure and dress it up (think e-Barbie!) to drop into scenes you create, in 3D...

Wow...
Question - Is that how you 'see' Silo in your head - or just how she came out on DAZ?
She's scary, lol! NO INSULT to you of course!
I have DAZ I've just not had a chance to get to know it very well yet.
It will be great to use - I'm looking forward to having more time in the near future.
Which I'll have to do - she needs a breast reduction, lol. I'm leaving those to BIAD!

That's just the way she came out in Daz. I was trying to go by the pictures you posted for facial features, but it sometimes takes a while to get it right - you have to keep on tweaking it, less and less at a time - and she's not there yet. I'll probably never get a perfect match, but she'll get closer over time.

Didn't have much to go on for the rest of the body, but I'll incorporate your suggestion for a breast reduction in the next iteration. How much reduction are we talking here?

Last try for tonight:

I re-worked the face, changed the hair. Did the most work on the lower face, and I still can't get the eyes right, going by the pictures you posted - may never get them just right,

Not real wild about the hair, either. I have a better doo, but haven't figured out how to make it work yet. Did some breast reduction, let me know if it needs more or less. That's the only change I've made to the body shapes so far - the earlier picture was the body as-is, right out of the box.
