I want a freakin bi-cameral Parliamentary Democracy. This Republicanism crap has gone on for too long. If the people don't protect their Constitution, then a Republic is nothing more than feigned dictatorship. This is what this country is at the moment. All our Presidents have been elite politicians from rich families and highly exclusive educational backgrounds. They have been influenced by their own ideologies, and have little regard for the common people. Let's follow the examples of Canada, G.B. and Australia. The idea of a Republic is a joke. No one gives a #. Let's get 10-15 parties together and put a real Democracy to work. Two parties are insufficient. They create too much legislature, spend too much and have all the leisure in the world and little concern to aggravate and influence revolutions in foreign countries. The fixed terms are essentially a license to Monarchy. Forget about world power; let's create a rich Democratic society.

What's wrong with a dictatorship?

History tells us that it is the most effective form of government.

Theology tells us it is the form of government practiced in Heaven.

Sociology tells us that most people want to believe in a strong leader.

I post this a tad sarcastically. I realize that men cannot form a good dictatorship for a long period of time, for corruption is so inherent in people. However, the Romans had it right, in times of crisis, a consul could assume the power of a dictator for a year. History is so tainted by Caesar, but there were numerous other Romans to hold the position and lay down the power.

If we think about it, most great leaders of men in western history could be called dictators: Alexander, Caesar, Charlemagne, and Napoleon... even our own Washington could have been King... Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation was made using sweeping dictatorial power (read up on it, it is really fascinating, as it applied only in rebelling states)... even FDR who stayed in office until his death...

We use dictatorship to mean some kind of crackpot sociopath... but, if we look at our history, there have been brief moments when humanity has be catapulted forward by great men.

i think government service should be mandatory for everyone between the ages of 10-100 that can read and write. scientists would be contracted to set the agenda and make sure important things like food distribution and world politics are kept up to date.

everyone should serve 3 months on their committee to make all decisions. 10 year old will likely vote for more cartoons and less homework. seniors will want healthcare and whatnot. everyone gives themselves a nice fat paycheck for their trouble.

once the committee is selected (have a blind person type in numbers on a non braille numberpad or throw darts at a wall) they're removed to a safe location so they cannot be bribed.

the law of 13 sounds ok. but how can you keep them from being bribed? you'd have to implant them all with irremovable microphones in the skulls and record everything they say and do and then review that also.

---

of course the easiest answer would be to get rid of money and go back to the barter system. that would solve 90% of teh problems in this country right off of the bat.

I’d love to be optimistic about winning the civil war. The two scenarios I see are splitting up the states like what happened in Russia, which wouldn’t benefit any of us. The second and far worse scenario is losing to the NWO. I’m kind of fond of our traditional stars and stripes flag and don’t want a new Global Flag of peace. I also want our Constitution restored, capitalist system restored , do away with the electoral college and let the majority win, ban all secret society members from being nominated to Government ( talk about doing away with lobbyists ) they are after the wrong guys. Obama just hired all the influential ones with the power. I guess they don’t need any more. I would rid the voters flag from a red, white and blue Globe to a traditional flag. Too much to list. If it sounds too good to be true then???

History tells us that every dictatorship evolves into an oligarchy.

Oligarchies are subject to elitism, manipulation and in-fighting.

If by "effective," you mean through despotism, then there you go.

Many of the worst leaders have also been dictators, like King John, Marie Antoinette, Vladimir Lenin and Saddam Hussein.

What civil war? There won't be a civil war. It's either just ludicrous, or wishfull thinking on the part of all the 'tough guys' out there. Won't happen.

The best kind of government would be the one you forget is there. One which operates quietly in the background and is not beholden to any forms of corruption.

Those running for government positions would be voted in based on their history of integrity and good character. They would be well paid, but not overly so and they would not be allowed to accept advantage of any kind whilst in power. If they prove "defective" they would be forced to step down immediately and if the betrayal of America and her people is sufficient, then they should be punished severely, so as to set an example for all potential deviants who seek power for their own avarice.

Elections, including campaigning, would be fully funded by taxpayers and donations towards campaigns would be illegal with stiff penalties to anyone breaking this law. In fact donations to political parties would be illegal at all times so that all citizens are respected by the governing process equally. Lobby groups would be outlawed.

This government would work towards returning the country's sovereignty and especially the ability to function fully and independently of any other country. A self-sustainable viewpoint. No jobs would be allowed to be shifted off country as has been occurring with manufacturing and IT jobs for too long now, as this corporate activity hurts workers and countries together, with only the corporates gaining short term advantages.

The federal reserve would be annulled and it's owners held to trial for the theft of interest from the citizens of America since its inception. This would be a public trial and children would be fully educated regarding what has occurred, including the assassinations of presidents who attempted to return control of the money to the government.

All infrastructure would be returned to the people's ownership and therefore managed by specialist government departments.

The new style government leaders would abhor aggression of all kinds, especially military aggression aiming to steal advantage from other nations. Co-operation and caring for one another would be emphasised at schools and competition de-emphasised.

Small business would be given advantages not open to large corporations given that they are the life-blood of employment for the majority. Corporations would also have their legal status reduced so that they have fewer rights than people, and not the other way as it presently stands.

There would also be reduced working hours so that people can lead more balanced lives. In the days before computers and mass mechanisation of industrial work less than half the population worked, so why is it now that we have most women (and many people past retirement age) working that we work longer and longer hours. It's unhealthy to say the least

Military budgets would be massively reduced and funds re-directed towards scientific research aimed at improving the lives of the population as a whole, in particular free energy technologies to replace current grid connected electricity dependence.

Laws would be reduced to the bare minimum based on the premise "Do no harm". Consequently all those brains that go to waste in the legal profession could now be diverted to more uplifting occupations such as investigative journalism, teaching literature courses, authoring books and re -writing the law books.

Citizens would be given free rein to generally do whatever they choose provided they cause no harm to others. All drug use, for example, would be up to the individual, but they must be willing to accept any consequences of their actions and not expect society to pick up the pieces when things turn out badly. This attitude would allow people to grow to maturity naturally.

If we actually get to the point of having a civil war or violent revolution the nation as a whole will probably not survive.

External influences would play a major role as well. Russia, China, and NATO arn't just going to make believe things are normal and ignore what's going on in US.

If anything expect NATO and the EU to help preserve the original government if things get too bad. On the other hand Russia will probably be wondering if Alaska would be their next Afghanistan and China will need to collect on US debts.

Internal groups like pro Aztlan guerillas could make a huge mess, especially if backed by Chinese and Russian support. We could literally see the country tear itself apart.

If we manage to survive all of that and a new United States emerges from the ashes, ideally we should maintain a constitutional republic. The only recommendation I would make would be the possible addition of a Prime Minister making the government into a Semi-presidential system, possibly dividing duties of head of state and head of government between the President and the new office of Prime Minister.

In this system the President would remain "Head of State", "Commander in Chief" and elected by an Electoral College. The President would still have Executive Veto or Assent in regards to legislation. The President would deliver the State of the Union addresses to begin the Congressional session. The last major change would be the addition of Executive Perogative making the office of the President into a Constitutional Sovereign.

The Prime Minister would be "Head of Government" and would preside over the Cabinet. The Prime Minister and the Cabinet would be answerable to both the President and the Congress. The Prime Minister and the Cabinet could be subject to a vote of a no confidence by the Congress. Lastly the Prime Minister would be elected by direct election through popular vote as opposed to the Electoral election of the President.

This would help balance the Executive branch in the same States Vs. Citizens balance that occurs in the Legislative Branch between the House of Representatives and the Senate.

Oh one other I almost forgot, the restoration of Senators being elected by State Legislatures and undoing the 17th Amendment. Only members of the House of Representatives would be elected by popular vote. The Senate was originally intended to represent the states in Congress.

Edit for one last thing

Can I offer this to your discussion littlebunny.

That any and all of the answers garnered here are both of little importance OR of value.

Now, let me explain why I say that.

Your target audience here is a large and VAST minority within the USA. The audience here, for the most part, is intellectual, caring about what actually happens to Government and their constituents, and above all has a cognizance of what really makes it all "tick".

With a mean of 30% of all Americans (mostly 25 and under) being completely unable to even enumerate the 3 branches of Government let alone any of the proverbial cogs that ensure those 3 wheels keep spinning - clearly you're aiming in the wrong direction. Couple THAT with the fact that if your reticle WAS aimed in the right direction, with the "sexting" the "Brittneys" the "Reality Shows" the "XBOX's" the "Dancing with the Stars" and the "LiLO's" on their minds, it should be blatently obvious to you that there is LITTLE to NO room on their agenda's for something as mundane and of such little consequence as their futures.

So, that was my long-winded way of saying, who cares.

BTW as a side-note (to those who foolishly convince themselves of it), all you do-gooders out there who claim that "Violence doesnt solve anything" [gag], wake up a little. Violence will always be prevalent as it is a part of human nature; period! And yes, it DOES solve things, whether good or bad it does solve things. Sometimes permanently.

If this scenario plays out etc.

Putting an other government in power only guarantees the corruption of the future in exchange for a rosy past.

There's not going to be a civil war. Civil war requires people that are actually willing to stand up and fight for what they believe in . I grew up during the Viet Nam era, a time when the young generation was instrumental in stopping that war thru protest and even violence, and willingness to be arrested for their convictions. We have plenty of whiners these days but that doesn't cut it. No there won't be any civil war, you'll all do exactly what you're told and like it.

After the military helps the US Citizens in a revolt to oust both political parties from offices held...

The military would then step back and within a framework hold erections in which only women could vote.

In a SeXocracy:

Men would compete for office holding primaries where women could nominate a man for erection.

The longest and strongest staff of discipline would likely be chosen. AND by secret ballot to protect the anonymity of the voter. BUT the outcome would really be much more obvious.

Rigged erections would be a thing of the past.

Performance enhancing drugs would, of course, be outlawed to ensure an honest erection.

A candidates humility would no longer be imaginary or feigned since humility would be obvious upon inspection.

Women like Pelosi and Hillary may still claim eligibility, their records stating "Wo" would need to be changed to just reflect "man" and they would need to prove that they could compete in the erections (and, perhaps, win?)

Women, being the only voting group, would hold that power of the erection, which has proven throughout history to be the case. After the revolution, that fact could finally be documented and become our way of government.

I'm sure that there are many details that would need to be worked out at lower levels of local erections.

The new government with a similar structure of the current government could continue but with real transparency that even some men could be humbled. No more blow-hards or old wrinkly (well, it would be by vote so who knows, who can comprehend the mind of women?) ones.

The wrinkly old elites in wheel chairs would show their potency to be what is, impotent. Rendered irreleveant.

You forgot one. Every adult Male is armed and part of the reserves. That kept Hitler out and helps keep the politicians honest. Otherwise, some very good ideas.

Can you give us an idea of your crime stats. I was under the impression they are low.

By the way, Yours is a very lovely country and I enjoyed my visit there.

Maybe you got this all wrong.

Maybe the power these guys whield is what keeps then in a constantly "alert" state.

Your post is one of the few that appealed to my sense of humour on this site. Well thought out, well presented but at the same time absolutely out there.

You idea is a little flawed as viagra is still being produced.

Ironic that of all the long winded posts that I've written ... I wrote that in about 6 mins. and there was alot more that came to mind but one drove out the other unfortunately.

See above in the quote ... Performance enhancing drugs being outlawed... including Vigra ; I'm not promoting a particular enhancement by name, although the Enzyte commercials with BOB were very funny.

Conspiracy Theory is inherently scary unless you really are nuts; then it's a way of life.
Here's relief from steady diet of conspiracy theory... (may be hazardous to some viewers)

The idea of keeping one's service rifle at home is currently heavily disputed in politics. I hope to god that we keep our rifles, but we already had to surrender the ammo that goes with it. I think our left wing parties are preparing us to be assimilated into the EU, I hope we can avoid that.

As for crime stats:
Here are some stats, dunno how accurate they are but most information I can find would be in german. I can still post it if desired.
What I can say is that I feel pretty safe here in the outskirts of Zürich.
In the city are some areas I'd avoid at night but maybe I'm just a tad paranoid.

Glad you liked your stay here, should you ever come again, drop me a line and maybe we can meet and I can show you around in Zürich

Edit to add:
The US have the 2nd amendment, if used as written, it should take care of the issue. I'm not American, but "shall not be infringed" seems pretty darned clear to me.
