Truck Almost Hits NC Sheriff's Deputy

A North Carolina sheriff's deputy is conducting a traffic stop, when he's forced to leap out of the way of a pickup truck that veers off the road after it was hit by a tractor-trailer.

Unfortunately this kind of thing happens quite often. Most of the time there really isnt a "safe" place to perform a traffic stop and the cops attention is almost always drawn to the driver/passengers and rightly so, with so many bad people out there who have more to hide than the fact they were speeding or missed a stop sign. Cops definately have one of the toughest jobs out there b/c they need to be aware of EVERYTHING around them when all the while still adhereing to the code of laws and regulations they are sworn to protect.
