I agree with what you say and so does Alex. Why do you say he's an idiot and liar? Half his program today was on vaccines and their cancer viruses timed to kill people slow and late, and he had a naturopath on discussing the same, also Big Pharma, their murderous medicine that is only good for emergency, trauma.

Alex hollers about this more than anybody. He is our friend. Don't castigate him. Thank God for him and imagine where we would be wihtout him.

jso....you post a comment from Olympia Snowe from about three years ago...as if it's pertinent today. Really??

Well....if you really want to go there....I think it's been shown that Rush has done much, much, much worse......the history is in the record.....

His diatribes are usually evil, and dripping in sarcasm....well, sarcasm when he has a few brain cells to rub together. Usually, he's just spouting nonsense to rile up the base......

Salt.....you come into every thread, and change the subject, dontcha??

What agenda do YOU follow, eh??

THIS is about Rush Limbaugh....NOT the Bible, nor someone named 'Alex'....yet, here you go again.....

'Why Do People Listen to Rush Limbaugh?

Because he is an AM Radio.....that's why. AM (Amplitude Modulation) Radio can propagate for many, many miles, because of the wavelengths.

A very powerful Station, can propagate as the waves bounce off of the ionosphere....so a strong 'Station' will transmit a very long way, as compared to FM, or 'Frequency Modulation'....which is a shorter wave, and depends on line-of-sight, for the most part.

AM radio is in the 'lower bands' of the electromagnetic spectrum....FM is higher up, and shorter wave. In fact, the upper limit of FM radio nears 108 MHz....that is where Aviation Navigational Aids are assigned frequencies. 108.10 to about 119.90 Mhz, for VORs and such....TACANs are given UHF freqs, even if co-located with the VORs.

VHF ATC comm is from 121.0 MHz to 136.0 MHz, roughly.

VHF is, by its nature, line-of-sight.

Back to Limbaugh....on AM he has a wide audience, mostly those in remote areas and those on the road at any given time....when FM won't come in, and only AM can be received.

For those poor folks, I recommend subscribing to a satelilte service, such as Sirius....jsut to get the 'other side' now and then.....

It's pertinent now because Snowe is a politician and Rush is not.

You can just switch channels if you don't like Rush. Too bad we can't get rid of fools like Snowe that easily. She continues to work her misery. Maine is very poor and destitute; she is extremely ineffective at bringing new jobs to her constituents.

PS: and your bluster about AM vs FM is obsolete in this age of Internet streaming.

Maine is anything but poor and destitute... though it currently is struggling like every state. I lived there for 20 years and I know... and the people up there love her and Susan Collins... [except for the right wing who doesn't love anyone left of Attila the Hun.]... Mainers are very praticular people... if they didn't think they were doing their jobs... they would have been out of there a long time ago.

What Collins did wasn't that bright I admit but you are comparing apples and oranges... loosebowels was mocking the situation up in Fargo.

This is total BS. I'm not changing the subject. I first posted an idea and information about Rush Limbaugh being a phony conservative, a gatekeeper, and an agent whose job is to mobilize support for Obama by presenting an obnoxious "counterthreat." I gave credit or this insight to Alex Jones, where I heard the information on his show that very day.

I have a right to give credit to my opinions to their source -- either Alex Jones or the Bible or anything else, including my mother or father.

That is not for you to tell me I can't credit the sources of my information. ATS prefers that we DO give credit to our information.

And as to taking things off course, I introduce ideas that other people haven't heard of before or don't like, and so they nitpick at me. I quoted Alex Jones and somebody else had to come on and say Alex was a bad guy, a liar, etcetera, so I had a right to respond.

I am right on topic on this forum. My opinions are just a little different than yours, and of many others here as well. This is not reason for you to feel "baited" or threatened.

At all.

It just means that if people aren't used to some of my terms or opinions and want to ask why and how and what, I need to just answer them and if it goes on a post or two, this is not the end of the world. Eventually people will know where I'm coming from and will stop questioning me on every word I say.

Except for some people who want to start threads about baiting and who think people should get points deducted or get kicked off the board entirely for holding to opinions foreign to the matrix or for quoting from people or sources they don't personally approve of.

BTW, if anybody is off-topic it's you, saying that Rush gets listened to because he is on AM radio, and then going on to explain scientifically how AM works compared to FM. This is not a thread on the science of electronics. And there are many other people who broadcast on AM who are not big, as Rush is. Sounds to me like an excuse for you to blab on about your scientific knowledge of sound waves.

Why don't you go start a thread about people who mention Alex Jones in their answers to postings? Good grief. What a crybaby you are.

To those people who wonder why I am so contemptuous of him that I generally refuse to call to him by his real name and refer to him as mush loosebowels I give you a prime example:

Wow. Whatever bet L.A. Times columnist Andrew Klavan thought he was making by daring people to listen to Rush Limbaugh and find one instance of the talk radio host saying a "single racist, hateful or stupid word" was lost today in dramatic fashion.

Limbaugh went waaaaaay over the top in insulting Gordon Brown with a mental image that one must work at to un-think about, warning that if the British Prime Minister keeps "slobbering" over President Barack Obama, he'll "come down with anal poisoning and may die from it."

Naturally, how Limbaugh gained such innovative insight into the epidemiological vectors of saliva-borne ass toxins remains an open question.

www.huffingtonpost.com...

The site provides a video clip of mr. loosebowels spewing forth for those who will claim that he didn't say that or was taken out of context.

I want him to be the spokesman for my political cause;

Yep a real class act.

And I am sure some idiot will object that it was his April Fool's joke... Well fool there was nothing funny about it.

Yet, where were you Grover when slanderous and downright dirty things were being said about Sarah Palin, her daughters, her husband, Alaska, and Republicans?

Did you make a single protest that her kids should be off limits? Did you criticize those who said that Sarah faked her pregnancy and that Tripp was actually her daughter's child?

Hmmmm?

Al Franken....well, you're off there, unless you reference his old stuff...he's a Senator now....so his rhetoric may remain clever, but it will 'cut'

Keith Olbermann....well, he just cuts deeply into the truth, and flays the hypricosy from the bone.

Problem with 'Rush' is.....he is an entertainer....NOT a Journalist.

SO....this means, he can say anything he wants, even if it's wrong....and there is no accountability.

HE, Rush....can lie and start a lie......and use his 'vox populis' via the AM Radio.....and continue to spout lies. Not only that, he can make up stuff, and lie again!!!

There is a phrase, not sure who wrote it...."There are lies....and there are Damned Lies!!"

EDIT....I forgot Bill Maher!!! Now that he's on HBO, he can finally speak his mind.

Sure, Mr. Maher has writers.....but, what about George Carlin?? He was a truly funny man, who knew how to cut into the deepest part of the 'uncomfortable'....which is what "Rush" just doesn't understand.

Limbaugh is just disagreeable....when HE thinks he's being funny.

He is not funny.....He is a bloviating buffoon.....plain and simple.

I never heard about the fake pregnancy claim but be that as it may I object to character assissination period.

I consider her a bimbo and have said so... but I don't need anyone to tell me that... all I have to do is listen to her to come to that conclusion all on my own.

Why do we need to? The ones who were spreading those lies weren't the same people you're asking these questions of.

Why can't you do what we did, and just ignore it?

Sarah Palin gave this country 100,000 other reasons to dislike her, we didnt need a single one of the reasons you brought into question.

Although, don't you find it odd that right after Palin and McCain lost the election, Palins daughter and her fiance or husband..or whatever he was.. Split up ?

Politics at it's worst.
Manipulating a young couple, and even worse, a baby, for the progression of conservative agenda's?

I'm only in the Liberal camp now, because I care about Liberty, the Constitution, Fairness, a Living Wage. I've yet to meet anyone who wants to make America worse, capitulate to Chinese Communists, or any of the other theories proposed by Rush Limbaugh. Reply: Is that why Obama was a member of the New Party, a Communist group, then a Black separatist church for 20 years? Is that why over 55 Democrats are members of the Democratic Socialists of America? Socialism, Marxism, Communism, different only by degree of government control.

You CANNOT believe in Liberty and the Constitution and believe in a "living wage."

"...I can't keep up with the latest Obama theory. I'm sure he was pretty conflicted, being a Muslim terrorist while going to a Christian Communist meeting. What a busy guy doing all that and getting his law degree...."

REPLY: There never was an actual trial put in place against Clinton. He's guilty as sin on most every count. Unfortunately, over 30 boxes of evidence sits locked away, and will remain so for the next 25 years thanks to current laws. Also, we can only assume that he actually earned that degree, as NONE of his college papers have been made available, from either colleges.

"....The fact remains, that Democrats suppressed their own extremist tendencies unlike those on the right. There is and never has been wide-spread support for Communism in this country, beyond a few intellectual debates....."

REPLY: The communist party is alive and well in America. They have now reverted to their old name: "Progressives." The college riots in the late 60's, Kent State being perhaps the most notable, were fomented by communists. This was discovered after the wall came down, and their documents were made available to historians here and around the world.
And, McCarthy was correct. There were nationwide networks of communist spies and intelligence gathering people in America.

"...Why does George Bush have no witnesses of his service in the National Guard in Alabama? You'd think there would be like, other people in his platoon?...."

REPLY:
Bush sought entry into the officer corps of the Texas Air National Guard, which would minimize his chances of being dispatched to Vietnam. Despite scoring low on the entrance exam, Bush was accepted.

The controversy over his military service has concentrated on whether his father, George Herbert Walker Bush who was a U.S. Congressman at the time, exerted influence to ensure his son obtained a 'soft' posting in the National Guard and whether he completed his duties sufficiently to justify his honorable discharge in 1973.

"Bush signed a six-year "military service obligation," he was required to attend at least 44 inactive-duty training drills each fiscal year beginning July 1. But Bush's own records show that he fell short of that requirement, attending only 36 drills in the 1972-73 period, and only 12 in the 1973-74 period."

Bush was assigned serve at the Houston Air National Guard base between 1968 and 1973. Bush graduated from flight school in November 1969 and undertook a further six months training in the F-102 fighter-interceptor. Between June 1970 and April 1972 he flew frequently with his unit.

However, in May 1972 he sought and gained approval to move to Alabama to work on the U.S. Senate campaign of Republican Party candidate, Winton Blount. While in Alabama Bush was obliged to continue his duties with another National Guard unit. After failing to have an annual physical examination Bush was removed from flight duty on August 1, 1972.

Bush's military records reveal that he did not do any duty between April 16 and October 28, 1972 and missed training altogether in December 1972 and February and March 1973. There were no records of him having served with any unit in Alabama. It is a requirement of members of the National Guard that they accumulate a minimum of 50 service points in a year. (Each full day of weekend training is worth two points).

On May 2, 1973 one of Bush's superiors noted that "Lt. Bush has not been observed at this unit during the period of report. A civilian occupation made it necessary for him to move to Montgomery, Alabama. He cleared this base on 15 May 1972 and has been performing equivalent training in a non-flying status with the 187th Tac Recon Gp, Dannelly ANG Base, Alabama." However, no records for service in Alabama exist.

Subsequently Bush spent 36 days in May, June and July 1973 on duty, accumulating 41 points. According to the Boston Globe, he was then awarded 15 'gratuitous' service points - enough to get him across the 50 service points threshold. His last service day was July 30, 1973 and - while originally due to serve through to November 1974 - was honorably discharged early to enable him to attend Harvard Business School.

What was not mentioned there is that he volunteered to fly in the war three times, but was turned down.

I'm going to add on.....WHY do ANYONE listen to Glenn Beck!!!??!!!

Well....(and I am not Bill O'Reilly)....though, he might fear 'Glenn Beck' in the "ratings".......

I am NOT 'Bill O'Reilly'....(although I do have his home address)....AND NO!!!! I will not publish it!!!!

As to Limbaugh.....well, he is old news.

Sure, he has a Contract, so he is guaranteed a certain amount of money....as long as he, I assume, stays on the Radio.

O'Reilly likely isn't as well-heeled.....in terms of an iron-clad 'contract'....maybe he wrote it on a 'falafel'???? OR, was it a Loufa???? So difficult to keep two things separate. One is food product, the other is a Bath Sponge. Too bad Billo (hey! That's another sink Product!!!) couldn't tell the difference.

Perhaps I SHOULD give out the O'Reilly's address???

Nah....keeping that to myself....for now....

EDIT....O'Reilly's spelling....only one 'E'....important to get it correct, becasuse he is such a douche.....

O'Reilly has the number 1 rated cable television new show for the past 100 months.

Limbaugh is by far the most successful radio personality alive.

They must be doing something right.

How can these men have such great success unless their audience agrees with them?

I agree! I used to listen to him, till I "grew up" and seen him for what he
really is.(No offense to current ditto heads intended, just a personal observation)Felt kinda like an oxy addiction for awhile if I can imagine it!

I admit I was hooked! I honestly thought it mattered and the country was
still ours, our vote counts, wars need a reason, etc!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Sorry, excuse me!.....

It is directly his and people like him's responsibilty(fault)by distracting and misleading people in the first place! That indifference to fact is the reason we're in this mess in the first place!

What about the false flag war? geez! Its all connected! If we had our facts straight without jumping the gun so much we may actually solve problems instead of aggravating them!
I can tell ya, there are many people who still believe the bs that is the glue that holds together the fabric of our backwoods society.
People are scared of the inevitable retraction of standard of living.
This explains alot of the current divisive social attitude we face today and random violence on the news.
As more feel the squeeze, they react in irrational outbursts.
It is unfortunate that people believe the malarky till
its too late.
Instead of buying fancy stuff like limbaugh can, we should have been living modestly and preparing for the inevitable housing crash.

Hard to get away from hate radio when the good ol boys run the show
and theres nothing else on but this non constructive drivel day after day.
Theres our(racist)leader! Bet he'll be the first one to march 4 us! Suppose?
Sorry if I offended anyone, just one sheeples opinion.

becky, I'd double-check your data regarding O'Reilly's ratings....

Those are HIS and Fox News' claims.

Rush Limbaugh certainly thinks he's the end-all and be-all of things "Republican"....

But, alas....he is just a blowhard who has found a very lucrative 'niche' ... and I think Bill O'Reilly is somewhat jealous. Because, when one 'blowhard' threatens to obscure another 'blowhard'....things might get nasty.
