Death Toll in Pakistan Missile Attack Hits 22

www.truthout.org

Islamabad - Militants searched Friday for bodies in the debris of a house destroyed by suspected U.S. missiles in northwestern Pakistan as the death toll rose to 22, including foreign extremists, intelligence officials said.

The strike late Thursday was the latest in about three dozen suspected U.S. attacks close to the Afghan border since last year. American officials say they have killed scores of militants, including ranking members of al-Qaida, the terror group blamed for the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks in the United States.

The missiles were believed to have been fired from unmanned drones launched from neighboring Afghanistan.

Pakistan's government publicly protests the raids as violations of its sovereignty and says the anger generated by them undercuts its efforts to battle extremism. Still, top civilian and military officials are widely believed to have a deal with Washington allowing them.

So while we are increasing our presence in Afghanistan we now start bombing Pakistan. Now why must we keep going after people that may or may not have had anything to do with the 9/11 attacks. It has been seven years since this war has started and it seems there will be no end. Why can't we learn from the past and realize that the Soviets failed, now we will fail too... It seems to me that its just another way to kill my beloved America...

The people that got bombed, as individuals may not have had anything to do with 9/11, but don't forget that the people who hijacked the planes were either from Saudi Arabia, or from Pakistan.

Could it possibly be that the ones targeted in this tradgedy might have been planning something else?

There were no people from Iraq involved in 9/11, so you might as well be asking why we are there.
