Thank you for the info. The article wasn't related at all with the recordings, so... Couldn't even tell if they were related.

Aftermath: I don't understand the continuous obcession with weather ballons. I mean, isn't enough stuff on Earth that could have flew off to somewhere?

And since when (honestly, I don't know...would like to...) weather ballons have significant radar signs, and a object of that size even has a radar sign?

I have to agree with the earlier comment regarding pilot-to-pilot conversations. There's no protocol for that.

These guys fly together all the time, they probably hang out at the pub together, and are most likely young, say in their late 20's, early 30's.

"Dude" would be a normal part of their vocabulary. I have a relative that flew f-16's, he's out now, in his 40's, and still uses the term 'dude'.

Must be an Air Force pilot thing. More an 'American' thing really. I still say it sometimes....

So let me guess, this tends to be an actual event judging from your discussion.
