I guess I am lost ... do you mean the time the original OP was posted....... I just looked it says 12:11pm. So if it is the originial OP, what is odd about it?

To add further to this, there should have been elevated aurora activity after the event.


This one stands out quite considerably it's power was 78.3 GW

Instruments on board the NOAA Polar-orbiting Operational Environmental Satellite (POES) continually monitor the power flux carried by the protons and electrons that produce aurora in the atmosphere. SWPC has developed a technique that uses the power flux observations obtained during a single pass of the satellite over a polar region (which takes about 25 minutes) to estimate the total power deposited in an entire polar region by these auroral particles. The power input estimate is converted to an auroral activity index that ranges from 1 to 10. Over 100,000 satellite passes comprise the NOAA POES historical database that was used to construct statistical patterns of auroral power flux for each of the 10 levels of auroral activity as defined by total power dissipation as illustrated in the following table.

Maybe it would be wise to read up on solar flares and coronal holes....

Coronal hole

A region of the Sun’s corona that appears dark in pictures taken with a coronagraph or during a total solar eclipse, and that shows up as a void in X-ray and extreme ultraviolet images. Coronal holes are of very low density (typically 100 times lower than the rest of the corona) and have an open magnetic field structure; in other words, magnetic field lines emerging from the holes extend indefinitely into space rather than looping back into the photosphere. This open structure allows charged particles to escape from the Sun and results in coronal holes being the primary source of the solar wind and the exclusive source of its high-speed component. During the minimum years of the solar cycle, coronal holes are largely confined to the Sun’s polar regions (although some exceptions have been observed by SOHO), while at solar maximum they can open up at any latitudes. Solar Flare

Solar flares are a fierce explosion in a stars atmosphere, which release enormous amounts of energy. Solar flares have an effect on all of the layers of the star and have the power to heat plasma to tens of millions of Kelvin and accelerate protons, neutrons and electrons to almost the exact speed of light. They bring forth radiation across the electromagnetic spectrum at all types of wavelengths. Flares are powered by the discharge of magnetic energy from the corona of the star. Rays that are emitted from solar flares can have a great effect on the Earth’s ionosphere and cut off long range communications. When the sun is active, it can have several solar flares, and when it is quiet, it will not have one for over the range of a week.

They are two completly different things......

Ok, I understand what you are saying......... but now my question to you is............. can you show where this has happened to our field before - as it has done today....... from these events previously?

My other question is........... we know that the Earth's magnetic core has been reversing............ so now............... is it possible, what is happening - is as many have said.......... the Earth will flip?

Edgar Cayce had said it will happen around the 2000 year.......... scientist have found where the Earth has flipped quite a few times in it's history.

So............. are we getting ready to flip? That is a "real" question.

I began reading about the Earth flipping about 20 years ago........ now with our magnetic field, seeming to do weird things...... are we getting "very" close to the flip?

I was going to start a thread the other day, on all the recent problems in Australia this year. Earthquakes. Floods. Wildfires. And crazy high UV levels.

I have posted on this before. And pointed out that I believed there was a problem with our magnetosphere, and attributed various problems associated with it.
As the magnetosphere weakens, UV levels increase. This in turn kills plankton in the sea causing a break down in the food chain causing massive ocean dead spots.

Get ready for some serious doom and gloom people!!!

All right, I will throw my two cents worth in: this has already been stated, that the solar flares recharge our magnetosphere. It is like our 'shield' or 'force-field' and protects us from solar junk. Right now we are in a period of almost no solar flares, and thus our 'force-field' is very weak. This is all part of 'the Electric Universe', if you want to do some reading. Only a theory for now, but quite plausible IMHO. NASA has ostensibly sent one or two spacecraft to the sun to take a look. What are they looking at? One thing is the pronounced lack of sunspots. Sunspots affect earth HISTORY. As in, solar 'weather' affects our satellites and our ground electronics. In the mid 1800s, that solar weather caused surges in telegraph wires, which caused wildfires all over the country. Today, it will very likely short out all our electronics, such as computers, auto computers, military communications and controls, refinery controls, nuclear reactors, ordering for grocery stores, ordering for gasoline for farm tractors, etc. It could and will have serious repercussions as we are not prepared for it. Western civ is now very dependent on electronics. Our military is now very dependent on that.
Also, Planet X is a misconception: what NASA previously announced as a large object coming into our solar system and affecting the orbits of outer planets, is apparently (IMHO) our TWIN STAR called Nemesis. Planet X is simply one of the orbiting planets around Nemesis. For those of you who have reguard for the Bible, the second to last time it was ostensibly here, it caused the Great Flood of Genesis. The last time, it caused the 'miracles' of Exodus, such as the critters all coming up out of the then electrically charged ground, being seen as plagues. This star is a dim star, and is approaching Earth from the other side of the sun. The Bible is not the only ancient writing predicting it's appearance now. I had expected to be able to see it as of last month, and it is supposedly visible with welders masks from the Southern Hemisphere. Beats me.
Right now, supposedly and apparently, the incoming Nemesis is causing disturbances in the solar weather, and thus our 'global warming' of three degrees. It is actually having some serious weather effects, globally, changes if you will. Three degrees is not all that much. But as Nemesis gets closer, the warming will become more pronounced. Nothing puny mankind can do will slow it down, speed it up, or stop it, Gory Al not withstanding.
We are in an electrical universe that we only faintly understand, and those who declare they know it all are merely announcing their own ignorance.
We have barely scratched the surface of understanding.
The world is not going to end for at least another thousand years. That is ridiculous, no matter what chicken-little says. But when Nemesis gets closer, and almost hits Earth, things will get pretty bad. You want answers? They exist.

ohh come on there Questionall, even you know that showing a picture of the sun today has nothing to do with something effecting the earth right now.....it takes some time for a solar flare to reach earth...so instead of showing a current sun activity picture, show one of march 10th 2009...in this you'll find your answer...
