First of all, if you are not American, who the hell are you to say anything about this country, what it is going on, what should be done, what hasn't been done or anything else. Worry about your own country! Second of all, obama is a moron and all he cares about is making the people who gave him money and will give him more money happy. He is a liar, for example he goes on and on about this huge tax break and how helpful it will be and you know what that leads to??????? No, you wouldn't because you don't live in this country! It leads to $13.00 extra a week in "some" paychecks. In the meantime he is hiring taxes, so by the time he is done, we will be paying that huge $13 back plus more. He is a liar and he is spending money like he has it like that and he doesn't. Did he inherit some debt, YES, what president doesn't????????? Who remembers that the economy not more then 2 years ago was the best it had been in nearly 100 years????? Hello LIBS are you dumb, ignorant or just don't want to admit you made a mistake!!! HUH? I don't know why I'd ask that, cause I will never get a real answer from you anyway. Why are you all so hung up on Bush? He is no longer president, get off that wagon it is down the road, there is a new president so get off of Bush [snip] and move on!

Well at least THAT is a sentiment I am familiar with.

Let's see...can he be impeached? First riddle me this becuase I am confused by much of the anti-Obama rhetoric.

Is he ...
(A) A NWO order operative? A bilderberger? An agent for the interests of the wealthy and powerful of the world?

or is he..
(B) A dangerous socialist, marxist maniac favoring the "lazy populace" at the expense of the hard working wealthy of this nation?

Is he..
(A) A pet kept on a leash by the secretive power mongers that directed Bush and he is "just more of the same"?

Or

(B) is he dismanteling all of the vital securty measures Bush took to "keep us safe" and antogonizing the "big business" interests that we need to "create jobs"

Is he..
(A) Not really a liberal? and disspointing his supporters?

Or

(B) actually a Socialist Marxist?

Warmonger or Peacenik? Socialist or Bilderberger? Too Liberal or dissapointingly Conservative? The same as Bush or too extreme an antibody? Too inexperienced/ineffective to get anything done in washington or too effective with his "socialist" policy implementation?
Does he have a "black agenda" including financial reparations...or is he actually not black at all, but rather arabic. Is he a secret Muslim or heretical idol worshipper?

On and on I can go...without consistency or intelligent factual support for this perpetual railing on about President Obama I am given no other choice but to actually judge him by his actions...

Every week I hear a reason to be proud of my President...From overturning Bush's executive orders to his focus on education reform and healthcare...

Obama also signed a presidential memorandum on Monday directing the head of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy to "develop a strategy for restoring scientific integrity to government decision-making." The memorandum, Obama explained, would ensure that his administration's policies would be based on "the soundest science," and that scientific advisers be appointed "based on their credentials and experience, not their politics or ideology."

Yeah, I don't know how he can be accused of so many things. The one I like most is the "He's an evil SOCIALIST!" which is countered by the other ideological side shouting back "No, he's a closet CONSERVATIVE and we would have rather had McCain!"

I think its safe to conclude that he's a moderate Democrat, and nothing more.

What people fail to realize is that racists love to bash someone that they see as "inferior" to them just by looking at the color of their skin. ESPECIALLY if that person is the president!

Ignorance and racism comes in all colors.

I wish people like this would GET A LIFE! because it's obvious one does not have one to constantly be bashing someone because of the color of their skin.

Humanity certainly has come a long way hasn't it? (sarcasm)

Well at least THAT is a sentiment I am familiar with.

So you don't understand the reference to Obama being BLACK either? Glad to know that it's not just me.

Let's see...can he be impeached? First riddle me this becuase I am confused by much of the anti-Obama rhetoric.

I'm not sure why you're asking me these questions, esp. since they don't seem to have anything to do with his incompetence, but I'll give it a shot:

Is he ...
(A) A NWO order operative? A bilderberger? An agent for the interests of the wealthy and powerful of the world?

Some here have said he is a Bilderberger. Read through the thread for the link.

or is he..
(B) A dangerous socialist, marxist maniac favoring the "lazy populace" at the expense of the hard working wealthy of this nation?

Yes, he is a socialist, and his incompetence and sheer ignorance makes him dangerous.

Is he..
(A) A pet kept on a leash by the secretive power mongers that directed Bush and he is "just more of the same"?

Well, he is beholden to many questionable financial players.

Or

(B) is he dismanteling all of the vital securty measures Bush took to "keep us safe" and antogonizing the "big business" interests that we need to "create jobs"

Well he is advocating talking with the Taliban.

And he is antagonizing the wealthy by increasing their taxes, and reducing their charity and mortgage interest deductions.

Very strange move in lieu of the housing market crisis.

And he is penalizing the middle class small business owner. Did you know these facts about small business?

www.sba.gov...

How important are small businesses to
the U.S. economy?

Small firms:
• Represent 99.7 percent of all employer firms.
• Employ about half of all private sector employees.
• Pay nearly 45 percent of total U.S. private payroll.
• Have generated 60 to 80 percent of net new jobs annually
over the last decade.
• Create more than half of nonfarm private gross domestic
product (GDP).
• Hire 40 percent of high tech workers (such as scientists,
engineers, and computer workers).
• Are 52 percent home-based and 2 percent franchises.
• Made up 97.3 percent of all identified exporters and pro-
duced 28.9 percent of the known export value in FY 2006.
• Produce 13 times more patents per employee than large
patenting firms; these patents are twice as likely as large
firm patents to be among the one percent most cited.
Source: U.S. Dept. of Commerce, Bureau of the Census and International
Trade Administration; Advocacy-funded research by Kathryn Kobe, 2007
(www.sba.gov/advo/research/rs299tot.pdf) and CHI Research, 2003 (www.
sba.gov/advo/research/rs225tot.pdf); Federal Procurement Data System;
U.S. Dept. of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics.

How many new jobs do small firms create?

Since the mid-1990s, small businesses have created 60 to
80 percent of the net new jobs. In the most recent year with
data (2005), employer firms with fewer than 500 employees
created 979,102 net new jobs, or 78.9 percent. Meanwhile,
large firms with 500 or more employees added 262,326 net
new jobs or 21.1 percent. For an in-depth look at employment
dynamics by firm size from 1989 to 2005, see www.sba.gov/
advo/research/data.html#us.

So you see, Obama's approach to the economy is not only incorrect and unsound, but it is dangerous.

Is he..
(A) Not really a liberal? and disspointing his supporters?

He's a liberal socialist.

Or

(B) actually a Socialist Marxist?

Yes.

Does he have a "black agenda" including financial reparations...or is he actually not black at all, but rather arabic. Is he a secret Muslim or heretical idol worshipper?

Again with the 'black' reference. What is with you folks?

Every week I hear a reason to be proud of my President...From overturning Bush's executive orders to his focus on education reform and healthcare...

National healthcare is a bad, bad idea.

And just last week he signed a bill that would eliminate school choice in Washington, D.C.

Kids lose - liberals win

And you're proud of that?

'Restoring Scientific Integrity'

What does that mean, 'Restoring Scientific Integrity'? Sounds impressive, but it's just a bromide. It will, however, impress the masses.

Uh, yeah, like "the soundest science" of Global Warming? He's going to use that to ram carbon taxes (Cap and Trade) down everybody's throat.

SO... until the GOP propaganda machinery figures out precisely what they want to convince me Obama is..I will look to his actual deeds rather than far reaching hate filled opinion pieces.

No propaganda needed. The facts speak for themself.

Yes...like global warming. Cap and Trade was also supported by McCain by the way. The debate on global warming is over. Even the most conservative nations of the world scratched their heads at the USA continual politicizing and creating a debate of a scientific measurable phenomenon.

The issue of global warming got swallowed up as an agenda item in our "culture wars" and the GOP took the odd position that it was an attack on their culture..they were backed by oil companies and other stake holders who funded a "scientific" disinfo campaign to refute the science.

This isn't even conspiracy theorey. It has now been documented, proven and widely reported.

Literally...they hired the same people that constructed similiar disinfo campaigns for tobacco companies..you know...ciggerettes don't cuase cancer and all.

WASHINGTON, DC, Jan. 3–A new report from the Union of Concerned Scientists offers the most comprehensive documentation to date of how ExxonMobil has adopted the tobacco industry's disinformation tactics, as well as some of the same organizations and personnel, to cloud the scientific understanding of climate change and delay action on the issue. According to the report, ExxonMobil has funneled nearly $16 million between 1998 and 2005 to a network of 43 advocacy organizations that seek to confuse the public on global warming science.

**Great article giving insight into the campaign....
www.ucsusa.org...

I don't expect you to change your position on Climate Change..you seem personally invested in your "facts"..but at least read the article above for a sampling of what Big Oil companies have been doing. Recognize any of those "scientists" that were taking money from Exxon? I imagine they are on your shortlist of credible sources for denying global warming.

You must realize that the term 'global warming' has been so discredited that it's proponents felt the need to change it to 'climate change', don't you? Esp. since recent studies suggest that we are trending toward a cooler climate globally.

As far as who Exxon funds, I really don't see any problem. They have an obligation to protect their interests, and it is the facts of the studies, not who did them or paid for them, that concerns me.

As far as McCain supporting Cap and Trade, that's fine. I'm an independent conservative; I have no party affiliation.

The debate is far from over. Unfortunately Obama will use his ideology to nationalize the energy industry in this country, and we will be saddled with oppressive taxes to pay for his blunder.

But that is all reversible. That is the silver lining.

Edit to add: I actually have changed my position on global warming. At first, I was a believer. Then I did my own research and saw the motives behind it's more malevolent proponents. Some tree huggers are simply naive and uneducated. Those I can understand. But then there are the real movers that have control and profit as their sole motives.

Mental Modulator's statement about re-writing history made me laugh out loud - I mean seriously. JSO, glad you posted and backed it up with fact. The only people trying to re-write history are the ones with tunnel vision - the ones incapable of looking anywhere but where their own hatred allows them to see and that is at George W Bush and his administration.

Mental, why even bother discussing things with you? You already have your mind made up that Bush is the anti-christ and is responsible for all things evil and all things destroyed in this country.

And to whomever made the idiotic statement that Bush destroyed this country - uh ... he did? Destroyed? Is your house still standing? Are businesses still running? Has your quality of life changed drastically? Have buildings or entire cities been reduced to a burning cinder? Are there dead bodies or the bones of people littering the streets of once what was America? Did you nuke clouds going off on the horizon?

Does your car still have gas in it? Does your electricity still work? Do you still have heat? Food? Opportunity?

Give me a break!!! All the moaning, squealing, wailing, crying, WAH WAH WAH WAH WAH WAH WAH WAH of you CRYBABIES on this thread complaining about the economy is SICKENING! We may be in a depression or a recession but you know what??? Chances are you still go to the grocery store instead of line up in a breadline or soup kitchen! Chances are you still go to the movies or drop by Wal-Mart and spend money on those things you don't need, like new DVDs and such. Maybe you go by Starbucks for that coffee some mornings? You have a cell phone that works?

If you seriously think YOU'VE been disenfranchised the last 8 years then I say you don't know ANYTHING until you've at least visited a foreign city like Bangalore or Mumbai where things like I mentioned above are highly sought after and highly valued. They aren't afterthoughts. There are people sitting out on the highway mediums in little boxes, right up against each other. Those are their HOMES. There are people who brush their teeth with their fingers in gutter (rain) water each day because their little hovels have no running water! There are children who approach you with their hands outstretched who will take anything they can get. Don't you people FREAKING GET IT??? North America's POOR PEOPLE are some of the RICHEST DAMN PEOPLE IN THE WORLD!!!

Yes..."Global Weirding" is the term I find most accurate. Global Warming is rather geographically biased. A poor choice in label does not mean it does not exist. More hurricanes, droughts, heatwaves and more severe winters...it depends on geography.

As for the rest of your post....No big deal that it has been documented that Exxon pays the anti-climate change groups to espouse those views...the same people that did disinfo for big tobacco?...C'Mon...really?

Stating that Obama is incompetent or a nitwit has nothing to do with his skin color. It has everything to do with his actions, or inactions, his lies, and his words.

For instance .. his latest ... he wants talks with 'moderate' taliban.

Well, these people would disagree with you:

Phoenix small business owners criticize Obama tax hike, dispute $250,000 is ‘rich’

They are not alone; rather, they are representative of society.

Income redistribution is one of the major pillars of socialism. It never works, for many reasons. And it should fail; it is a repulsive idea to begin with.

I know lots of people who make over $250K. They are the major investors in our economy and donors to charity. Investment in society in general will be hurt by Obama's class warfare.

Obama is mimicking Chavez. And what is happening in Venezuela? Massive brain drain.

Global weirding. I like that!

President Osama is out to destroy America as we know it and maybe that's not a bad thing. Maybe we can finally take it back from the bankers and the liberal wackos that are in charge now?

I hope it gets so bad that we do have a 2nd revolution in this country. We need to take back what was stolen from this country and ship all these leftist back across the pond where they belong.

I say we deport President Osama and his wife back to his native country to start with and move on from there.

I have never seen a person so utterly destroy a country in such a short amount of time as Osama has. We sure are on the road to destruction and that was his plan all along.

Firstly it is slightly unfair of me to refer to the "black" oriented anti-Obama rhetoric in this thread, becuase as far as I know you have not taken that tact. I was making a broader point and referring to contradictory rhetoric in "general" originating from the right wing...

Two contradictory themes..spam GOP emails..thread topics on ATS...during the election cycle..both playing to race and bigotry.

One stating that if Obama got elected he would push for financial reparations (payments) for the descendants of slaves in America...

The other that the African American community was being "played" by Obama becuase he was not actually black...that his ancestors were actually from such a northern region of Africa as to be considered Arabic.

Dumb and ugly rhetoric, I know, but I wanted to answer your question.
