Thank you, Blue Jay! I had thought for years that "Jehovah" was wrong, a mistake. What do you think of the Sacred Name folks who insist on a particular pronunciation (no Jehovah) for the names of God the Father and God the Son?

I have noticed what that other poster brought up, that the name of the real God has been replaced with a sort of generic "LORD," while all the pagan gods get proper names. People always seem to want to push the real God to the back. What do you think of that?

That's a BIG step in the right direction!

Now if they could just replace "Hell" with "the grave" as it should be...

The KJV is not perfect, but still way better than most versions.

I found a bible that did, and it makes so much mores sense to the reader.
Revelation 20:14 is the example you talk about.

KJV

And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

New Simplified Bible NSB
(Plus It's great site for all bibles too.)

Death and the grave were hurled into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

Rather than make new thread I found these video's I thought I would add to this thread.
It makes some of the points I already made, but even better.

The Divine Name is not YHVH.

Shem-ha-mephorash

This is what was spoken in the Holy of Holies.
