WOW! a lot of need for violence & destruction in this thread. i bet most of those who want everything to collapse are those who never did anything useful with their lives like get a degree (and still believe those movies about the stupid college graduates and the slutty college girls) who have constantly overextended their debt instead of living within their means, never saved a dollar for retirement, and went along with the stupid idea of the 401k casino or bought into the "housing bubble" and are are now seeing their house "equity" disappear...

i see this as the ultimate "covet thy neighbor's goods" thing. if others are doing well and you are not, you'd rather have total disaster for the country to "reset" the situation. is that your idea of "freedom"? will you do everything on your own once society collapses? are you sure you can get food, security, healthcare, clean water, energy and so many more things that we take for granted today?

well guess what? even if all debts would be reset, I bet that those irresponsible today will be in deep trouble shortly after the reset. i think the upcoming economic depression and its pain is a good lesson for all those that did not read contract terms when they signed and did not care to get educated either!

The USA won't collapse even though many inside and outside her borders hate her guts!

Wow, I'm impressed at how many assumptions you managed to fit into one post. Don't take this the wrong way, but when the chips are down, making too many unfounded assumptions may kill you. Excuse me, I'll rephrase that for those of us with a degree: It's not a trait conducive to one's dna propagating.

Where can I sign what you just said? I think you're pretty much on to it, mate.

Just oppose taxation in all forms and stand your ground. Obviously pay the taxes you currently are forced into paying. You dont want the G-Men kicking in your door at 3AM to haul you away for refusing the extortion.

And when people give you all sorts of ridiculous guff about the roads, power lines, public school, police, and blah blah blah refuse it all. They created these imaginary and unnecessary comforts out of the demands of the dependent then forced everyone everywhere to pay for them whether they want them or not. These BS services and the extorted funds that support them are kept alive by the demands of the lowest common denominator. A class I have no need for and a class that am quite sick and tired of being enslaved to fund and support.

The only ways out are death, imprisonment or becoming a street walking vagrant. Taxes = Slavery. Those who dont see it are happy to be lifelong consuming dependents. I wish I could think of harsher words but I'm not a poet.

I don't know about you, but I am VERY happy that the American Civil War happened. I'm very happy that WWII happened. They were terrible yes, but in the end all of you who said 'no' seem to like the after effects.

That's what I say. If and when the SHTF, it will be like an extended camping vacation for me. The chaos and mayhem won't last forever. I can ride this out for at least a year now. I really have everything I'll need for a year (with the exception of water, that I'll have to collect, thus why I'll be camping near a river or lake).

Really, this whole chaos and mayhem thang will only involve those that want to get involved in all that and hang around for it. I don't have just a bug-out bag, I have a bug-out RV now, and I have already stocked up on a boat load of all the provisions I'll need to last a whole year, at minimum, probably longer (I may have over estimated what I might need).

Oh, sure, I might run a little short on emergency survival entertainment, ha, but I'll be buying some more DVD box sets and video games before the SHTF.
Seriously, I have everything else I'll need to live far away from everything and everyone else if the need presents itself ~ it's my insurance plan in case of a collapse of the economy and civilized society. It will be just like an extended camping vacation. Sweet, camping, just like I use to do for fun! I'm looking forward to it. And, after the dust settles, I know where I'll be setting up my new farm. If anyone else is concerned about this crash and burn, simply prepare and you'll be ready and won't have to worry.

That's ok, mate, was just agreeing with you. I have my life set up similarly to you, and I think my 10 year old would do a better job of surviving than most townies. Good luck.

I get what you are saying but would amend it a smidge. We should glad about some of the changes that came from the Civil War and WWII. But we should be sad that those wars were necessary for those changes.

Hopefully our society has learned something from those wars, and doesn't need to tear itself apart to rebuild itself. Doesn't seem likely to me, but one can hope.

No, absolutely not. I don't want complete collapse. Why would I want that?

I think what is happening, is our sense of right and wrong is being messed up. Think about it.

Criminal organizations are allowed to exist. Banks are allowed to charge you ridiculous fees for even the smallest overdrafts. Nothing gets done about it, and they are freely allowed to hammer their customers with fees. That's just one criminal activity, allowed to exist. But, it's ok, because it is making profit. It's not moral, but it's big business, so apparently it's ok.

A multi-billion dollar enslavement tool, the Psychiatry/Big Pharma union, is allowed to operate right in front of our eyes. It makes big profits at the expense of our health, with their "Drugs of Mass Destruction." How many people have to be damaged before we give these guys the "black-eye?" This is wrong, but we allow it to exist. It's making a lot of money, so apparently, this is ok too.

We have a steady flow of unhealthy drinking water being pumped into our homes. And, here again, it's legal. It's allowed.

I could list many criminal activities that go on, right in front of us. They waste our time, our money, and deteriorate our health and well being. Our legal system hardly even questions it, until we speak up.

If we, and our lawmakers make those criminals take responsibility for their crimes. You know, we make them do what is right, then I think we might have ourselves a nice little civilization.

See, this country locks up people for "small things," while some of the biggest and nastiest criminals of all are doing business without even getting questioned. They drive the fancy cars, while you suffer from the effects of their products.

well it's pretty much inevitable anyway, and I'd rather get it over with.
plus this country's # has been hitting the fan for so long, it would be almost embarassing if things went back to the way they were.

when will those portals start opening up? :p

Well, because you do not want your descendants to inherit all of this national and foreign debt!

A crash and burn reset will erase all that. I do not want my descendants to be born into a world where they are assigned an RFID number and then are taxed until their death to pay off any of this debt that WE just keep building and piling up like there is no end in sight -- I WANT to see an end in sight!

If my financial situation was as irresponsibly horrible as what this nations is, I'd have to kick my own ass and cave in my own head, and then either file for bankruptcy (which isn't really nice, because doing so is really ripping other peoples savings off), or at least jump off a bridge for being so damn stupid and financially irresponsible.

The party is over, and our descendants should not have to pay for our bar tab. It's time to burn down the bar and let them start over free and clear! Go ahead, ask your children and grandchildren if they wouldn't mind paying off all your irresponsible debt after you die, see what their response would be.
(i'm still hurting where they kicked me when I suggested this idea to mine)

Seems the individuals who think they'll be rushing off to some war are the ones living in a fantasy video game.

So this doesnt seem as pointless as your reply was why dont you tell me who you're going to be at war with and why. Maybe I'm just missing something in my intense naivete.

reply to Yes I do. I think it is time for a major change of attitudes, removal of present goverments, and the huge fortunes of the few to be replaced. Also we need to remove several billion people from this planet. Resources are being used at a tremendious rate, population is out of control as are the world goverments including our own. It is time to be rid of the gutless, the sheep who can only follow, and allow nature to run its course, only the strong will survive and the earth will be cleansed. I know many will disagree but let the lemmings be a lesson. Mankind is running for the cliff now. When populations get to large nature has its way of leveling the playing field. Face it the world is over populated now and soon billions will starve to death or be blown away by nuclear war. I would rather take my chances depending on myself than on society to protect me. I am an american, I love my country but the goverment is corrupt as are most of the people that live here. The same goes for the rest of the world. Let civilazation fall and a new stronger world will arise.post by johnny2127

simply put, it isn't our world anymore, it is our childrens world, and they at the speed of light can grip it and deal with it, it is only us that complains like old farts that we cant handle the pace, cant handle the change, dont like the way the world is, it is the kids doing the gangbang thing, it is also the kids listening to the rap and hip hop, also the kids going to college. what is seems like to me, is instead of letting the kids take what is rightfully theres to take until there kids take it from them, is us to hope for a mad twist that will knock everything back to a simpler life like the ones we had when we were younger, so allow them the world like our parents allowed us the world, step off and get a grip. We don't have the right to wish for chaos because we dont like cell phones or computers, dont like cable bills or satillite installers. This world belongs to our kids, ask them if they feel the same as you do, and they will just tell you that your just getting old.

My question to anyone HOPING for the chaos and anarchy;

WHY IS CHAOS, MISERY, ANARCHY AND DEATH NEEDED FOR THE DESIRED CHANGES?

Everyone agrees for the need of change. I am wondering why the vehicle of change has to be so miserable. Thanks in advance.

I've asked, and they too want change .. the kind of change that you just KNOW won't be coming from our government, a government that is doing just the opposite what any level headed responsible individual would expect and/or do themselves. (i.e., in preparation for this crash, I unloaded my home before it lost any value and paid off all my debt ~ the logical thing to do to avoid the financial mess everyone else that didn't seems to be in now .. including our idiotic debt ridden dopey ass irresponsible government).

Hey, ask your kids if they don't mind paying our bar tab for this party down economic mess the credit/debt loving monkeys created. Ask them if they want to pay the governments Visa bill, ha. Ask them if they want RealID too. And more new taxes. And more career breeders living the socialist easy life, ha. And more melamine in their food. And more Chinese junk on the shelves at China-Mart. And government regulated, controlled, and dispensed/approved health care. And bigger mega-corporations. And mega inflation. And more GM foods. And more bird flu and mad cows. And more any foreigners because of our meddling in their affairs. And more corporations in bed with the government. And more new laws and regulations every damn year after year. And higher taxes. And less personal freedoms. And more government mandated vaccines. And bigger banks with bigger nooses around their necks. And more expensive unaffordable homes. And higher priced fuel and food. And more prescription meds in their drinking water. And more bigger government. And higher population numbers. And .... ... ah, never mind, the time to debate this has passed. Now is the time to be getting ready - ready for the BIG FREAK OUT!!!

I don't want it to happen - we have a baby on the way and I want her or him to have a decent life. I am preparing because anyone would be foolish not to. And honestly, whatever is going to happen is going to happen and there is nothing we can do about it anyway.

I do not think this is the "end of the world" or even the end of this country. I think these are just going to be some challenging times - but we will get through it.

I agree with thisguyrighthere.

Call me insane all you want, but the honest truth is, I will lose no sleep over the possible billions that may die when TSHTF. I'm not responsible for them, they created this mess of a world we live in. They choose not to be dependent on themselves. It's by their own rules they play this game -- and it's by their own rules they will lose this game.

I will not be a part of the game.

I have nothing to lose when this thing happens, no matter how it happens. I have everything to gain. You can disagree all you want, but believe me, I will thrive when it happens -- and I will be there to help ensure we go forward the right way, when the time comes.

Just the same way mother nature will show no mercy -- I will show no pity.

Bring it on.

No.

Why?

Out of conflict comes conflict - we need revolution - that is of our mind. Of your mind. No external force will provide change - the transformation of thinking will.
