You people fail to realize that the system and politicians you hate work for us, we don't work for them.

NWO + mass death and panic = bad
Our laziness + Our irresponsibility + mass death and panic = good

You people make me sick. You've completely thrown personal responsibility out the window. The worlds going to hell it must be the NWO, Illuminati, reptilians, or zeta reticulans fault. It couldn't possible be our fault after all we have all those scape goats. What happened to the days when people would hold mass protest (1000+) to change something. Our founding fathers would be ashamed of our governments behavior as well as ours.

Owning a gun doesn't make some one an a American, Standing up for ones rights does. Violence should always be a last resort. Some of us really need to watch some star trek or actually read there religious text/books (this is coming from an atheist).

I am one of those who hopes it collapses.
I am more then ready and am willing to make a sacrifice to my lifestyle if it happens.
For all I will lose, its sooooo worth it.
I have everything I need to last a few years minimum.
The people that aren't ready are the ones who are scared and hoping it all stays together.
Look at our society...it needs a drastic change.

Of course I don't want it to happen. At least now we still have some semblance of safety. If a total collapse happens, your chances of running into a couple of gang members are very good; your chances of calling 911 and getting help in 5 minutes are not. You won't go hungry now, but in a collapse, just see how long the shelves at the grocery stores get emptied out. I don't understand this hope for a collapse. I can only think it is people who have nothing at all to lose.

What do you all think?

I believe it is sadly inevitable, it has happened over and over again throughout history and I believe that with each "Typhoon struggle" we get closer to a reality of true human freedom. We have become complacent, maybe to the point that it is too late.

I wonder if humanity has to undergo a technological tyranny so complete and loathsome that we would have a much harder time being complacent. Especially if that tyranny were to last worldwide for thousands of years.

Our present economic prosperity depends on a monetary system that is flawed and corrupt to the core. Elites control the way we live, what we watch, what we eat, where we go, etc.

Those who think you are "free" try living in "our" society without money and see how far that gets you. Is that you on the corner? Think about it.

The western world especially, has become dominated by technological past-times, that involve entertainment and for the most part, bring absolutely no value to humanity and the evolution of our species. So many of us are focused/hypnotized by our monetary system that's all they can see.

The present monetary system is, and will continue to be, a barrier to our evolution. Manipulators and scam artists are laughing, while our true potential is hidden amongst the peons.

So, do I want the system to collapse? Of course. The big question is, can humanity unite to create a self-fulfilling and sustainable system afterwards that will thrust our species into the limelight of advancement and evolution? Or, will we follow the chimes of history and sweep in fascism yet again?

Looking past our monetary system is considered a taboo subject and mostly reserved for conspiracy theorists and those who believe these people should be in a mental institute.

The time has come for us to band together as one, and take on the challenges of the future united.

*Reality Check*

Unfortunately there is not enough interest in the above. For now, this is only a pipe dream. Some of us seem to be evolving faster then others.. maybe, just maybe, Darwin was right. Only time will tell.

Yes, i hope everything collapses.
Why? because i deeply believe that wil force us into a new way of living.

more peacefully i believe. Secret technologies have to be made public, because no man can pay his electric and gas bills anymore.

And last, but not least, it is a lesson. A lesson that tells us we need to think different. It wil makes us see that we must not focus on money and buying sports cars and high tech stuff while others suffer because they dont have food.

We must build some kind of new economy, in which you work for your community and just get everything you need or want instead of money. In fact, we must say goodbye to money. Because money gives people power and makes peeple greedy. Money makes people evil.

Although your message is one from the heart and obviously meant in a good way it is overshadowed by the ignorance of what you are suggesting. Do you not realize what would happen in a total collapse? The best case scenario is one that you suggest. Where we live peacefully. But life and history has shown us that this is not what happens. What happens is that a bunch of factions (bullies) grow up into tiny militias that run rampant on the innocent people. They will rove around and murder and rape if there is absolutely nothing left from a total collapse.

There IS a place for government people. It was initially intended (at least here in America in the 'great experiment') to provide that security that the average person could not do for themselves or their families. Not to the point where we need to depend on them for welfare like it has turned into. It was meant to be put in place to establish a safe place to pursue your dreams. Well, that is pretty much gone now.

A partial collapse would be better. A reformation and complete restructuring of the current government. Maybe even a regionalization of the country into 3 separate entities that still fall under the jurisdiction of a president. But a total collapse would mean that peace will be a LONG TIME coming. For the first decade there will be tens of millions if not hundreds of millions of unnecessary deaths.

Is that worth your peace?

As for the lesson, well, we have NOT learned that lesson yet. It is painted throughout history and yet we still don't learn. We always tend to believe, as humans, that WE are the best and can do it much better than the ones before us. Yet we make the same mistakes. Mistakes like allowing the bankers back in. The central banking industry that now rules the world has been shut down many times in our recent history (last millenia). It is time for it to happen again. That is how we need to think differently.

I agree that it has to happen but I don't think the lesson is precisely what you may think. The lesson has already been put before us over and over. We just keep getting manipulated into falling for the same old S each and every time by the same old jerks that feel they are better than the 'normal' man and woman.

Johnny2127,

I must say that I do hope that the world and economies collapse and chaos reigns, at least for a while. We need a purging of the system. Just in the US, our Constitution provides a means to purge the system of undesirables when they aren’t doing what we the People intended that they do. This system has completely collapsed. The new people we send to change the system around, are attacked from all sides by those remaining there and those lobbyists who want to convert them into the corrupt people that the rest have already become.

When watchdogs like the SEC knew about Madoff years ago and turned a blind eye to it rather than bringing it to a very abrupt and painful halt for him, how are we the People supposed to feel in regard to our government? The SEC has completely failed us. The FBI, who haven’t done a thing worthy of respect regarding this financial fiasco, has also completely failed us. Agency after Agency, whose sole purpose was to keep things in check, to ensure things didn’t spin out of control, were bought off to turn a blind eye to the whole thing. Do I want all of that to collapse? Absolutely.

As for the rest of the world, I’m of the opinion that they must also have systemic issues of their own because they are falling into the same trap we have. I admit, it’s a rather broad based presumption, but it’s a shoe that appears to fit them rather well. I have several friends in Europe and I get told the same things from them all. They wish the entire system would crumble over there because it’s gotten to be such a burden that there’s really no hope anymore. When governments take the majority of ones paycheck for the maintenance of a social system that fails to provide the levels of service they hope for (their words not mine), they all want to abandon it.

Is chaos something I willingly embrace? No, it isn’t. But I will willingly deal with the hardships revolving around chaos if it means that we the People are able to purge the system of all the things that have corrupted it. The people who are responsible are not the small shop owners that brain-dead rioters smash the windows out of their shops and loot everything they have. The people responsible live in mansions, and reside in upper level offices in the biggest buildings in town. They are the ones that need “special attention”. The people responsible for this are also local and state officials that go along with the federal system and embrace the embezzlement and corruption that spews out of D.C. like ash from a volcano, choking everything. Choking is what they deserve.

I support the collapse because it means that we have the opportunity to reclaim what was taken from us through a corrupt government and banking community. I know it’ll be hard on everyone reading this, but I hope with all of my heart that the People will bring an end to the real people responsible for this:

Bank of America CEO Ken Lewis
Citigroup CEO Vikram Pandit
J.P. Morgan Chase CEO James Dimon
Wells Fargo CEO John Stumpf
Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein
Morgan Stanley CEO John Mack
PNC Financial Services Group CEO James Rohr
U.S. Bancorp CEO Richard Davis
Capital One Financial CEO Richard Fairbank
SunTrust Banks CEO James Wells III
GM CEO Rick Wagoner
Ford CEO Alan Mulally
Chrysler CEO Robert Nardelli
AIG CEO Robert Willumstad
Fannie Mae CEO Jim Johnson
Freddie Mac CEO David Moffett
And EVERY Federal Reserve Member still alive!

And while I could go on and on regarding the list of people I’d love to see penciled in for a sudden visit by the Angel of Death, here’s the list of companies that have accepted TARP funds. We gave these companies all that money. Think we’ll see a dime of that back, much less with interest?

Yes, Johnny2127, I do support economic collapse and the chaos that ensues.

Again, another fine point (one that I believe should be first and foremost on EVERYONE's mind) but yet, not quite hitting the mark. The entities that you named above are ALSO to blame in this. We are to blame for allowing them to manipulate us into utilizing their system but they are to blame for their greed.

Yes, it does start with the person you see in the mirror. That is where true change will take place.

I just don't think that a total collapse will benefit anyone. Well, except the ones that already have everything. They will control the militias and the foodstuffs. They will have ultimate power if a collapse happens.

Yep I could not agree more. Anubis hit the nail on the head with folks here on ATS wanting to blame ficticious global conspiracy groups for our demise and thus an excuse for sitting back doing naff all. Too goddam lazy to get off their butts and complain, too lazy to meet with their local representative and complain, too lazy to write to their representative and finally too lazy to stand for election themsleves!!!!!!!!! (Ok that may be pushing a bit in the US but in the UK it's perfectly possible to succeed as an independant)

Not that I hope for utter chaos and wide-spread suffering, but I believe what's happening now is directly related to the unraveling of an unsustainable paradigm – the breakdown of a world belief structure. Our foundations need to change, worldwide, and on a scale we simply cannot foresee (so the usual answer is to cover up our problems the only way we know how, with money and politics). Sometimes I think that if we are to actually have a chance at surviving and evolving - lots of us need to die.

I consider myself a short term pessimist and a long term optimist. If the problem lies in the way we think, live and perceive reality, then the fix is either a mass awakening (something I find increasingly unlikely as much as I dream of it) or a mass die off - which sounds more realistic in terms of how we treat each other.

Like I said – I dream of an age of reason and enlightenment for my species, and believe we could certainly accomplish that together – but that doesn’t mean it’s destined to happen.

As I was riding my bike to work today, I was thinking about this. The answer, to me, was no. I don't want society to fail. I don't want any kind of massive upheaval.

I would like to see things improve. I would love for people to start taking more time to raise their families and spend less time trying to make money. I think that people should turn off their TVs, gameboys and computers and spend more time with each other. I'd love for people to spend more time as a family planting a garden or just taking a bike ride together.

I think that we're all ready for those types of changes.

But, on a daily basis, I see the economy getting worse.

So, I plan and prepare. I buy and store food and supplies. I plan to survive. I worry that those who fail to plan will not do so well.

I vote NO for anarchy, chaos and self destruction.

I'm reading these responses to this most scary of questions and am incredulous. I know the world is a rotten place today. I’m reminded of a tune in the mid 80’s with the lyrics, “Stop the world, I want to get off. This is too weird for me…” Most everyone posting on this question, it seems, is pulling for chaos and anarchy. Only the immature mind could conjure up such a thing as “desirable”.

I know many (not all) of the current generation of young people of US and European extraction, have been raised in the lap of luxury, by world standards and most are bored to death with their daily lives of dealing with I-pods, cell-phones, computer games and constantly pursuing the latest wiz-bang to satisfy the seemingly inexhaustible consumerism addiction. Please hear me out! I don’t blame you alone for having this perverted view of society. We parents and grandparents, in many instances, are the responsible parties.

If order breaks completely down, you’ll have NO ONE to call on for help. You will be subject to the same mobs of marauding thugs as all of us will. There will be no quick coming together of interested citizens to establish a utopian society of love and peace. The overwhelming majority of you will succumb to the violence unleashed and will die a quick and uneventful death.

Reducing the population of the world by two-thirds IS the goal of the power elite NWO. You will have fulfilled their fondest dream in your deaths. So, you have a 9mm pistol and 22 cal rifles, and you feel protected? They have nukes and chemical weapons…good luck!

There is such a thing as self-fulfilling-prophecy. I want the world to be radically changed as well, but I’m a realist. I don’t want to die to fulfill my potential master’s (whom I detest) fondest desire. My suggestion is this…Direct your disgust towards the NWO, and lets do all we can to stand against evil, not fall into their trap of anarchy and self destruction. I have no “grand master plan” to accomplish this. But, for God’s sake, don’t fulfill your enemy’s wish in your own death.

OH I just love this thread. I join ATS just to reply to this topic. I want so badly for the world to burn in chaos. I hate life and I hate what kind of disgusting creatures humans have become. We are the virus of this planet destroying everything in our wake. I feel sorry for mother nature for ever creating us. I guess it's like having a brand new computer and eventually you might get a virus so did the earth US. We have become such greedy hateful bastards. I hope the middle east is the first those religious fanatical jackasses over there I look upon those men as nothing more then just demons on this earth killing over their religion like that. If the world explodes today I will be so happy. Actually I won't be around to enjoy it but I'm sure wherever I go after I'll be happy. People are like " but if the word explodes so many people will never do this never do that never have this " who cares ! they won't be around to worry about that now will they. I HATE the people of Earth and I HATE the fact that I'm of the same blood as humans.

dariousg, I agree with you more often than not, but this is something I'm going to have to politely disagree with you on. A partial collapse doesn't purge the system of all the people responsible for this. In a partial collapse there's no Marie Antoinette hospitality for those that caused this, and there needs to be. It is the only solution. You don't honestly believe that a couple years in a minimum security prison would straighten these people out do you? The rotten apples need squishing, simple as that.

I agree that there are a LOT of downsides to complete collapse. I don't like them, but until a way emerges that allows for the complete purging of the system of these crooks, I see no other acceptable way forward. That's the downside with the pacifically-minded people. They don't want any of the negative stuff to happen, but they refuse to put policies into place with teeth sharp enough to keep them from the nightmare we're all facing now that the bankers brought on us. There's a very good use for bullies at times. Now is one of those times.

The end must come before the new begining.
The distant future of the past, is close.
How can we, the world get out of this world reccession? I don,t believe we can, we can print more money, that will help for the short term while we are told porkies, from those at the top, (I would seriously like the knowledgeable ones here to come up with some good answers)
The poor countries have made goods for the richer countries, now who is buying the goods? credit has always been a solution in the short and medium time.
Look at it from a governments point of view. property prices fall ,less income from taxes,, real estates agents, lose money, less staff,,,lawyers, banks,
builders and others, electricians, plumbers, etc no work, furniture sales down, banks lose money,no corporation tax, no one wants to borrow because after a while interest rates go back up,unemployment has to be paid by government, luxuries go ,basics only, more unemployment, all negative, maybe the only positive thing to happen is for it all to crash, and we will all be in the same boat together, well maybe.
