Pure damage control from the Obama administration. The Taliban were an absolutely vicious regime in Afghanistan and in my opinion talking to "moderate" elements of the Taliban is like accepting Albert Speer as he was a moderate Nazi.

This stinks to me of someone wanting a quick fix. He wants as much of the armed forces back in the US as possible, even before the job is done.

Why is that I wonder?

Most people believe that he wants to bring the troops home as they have suffered enough, I feel that he has an ulterior motive.
