TRACY — A Tracy man suspected of beating his roommate with a metal bat and then shooting him told police God instructed him to do it.

Damon Gregory was arrested Wednesday night on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of an illegal weapon. His roommate showed up at Sutter Tracy hospital for treatment, but was not cooperative with investigators, refusing to give information about his attacker or give details about what had happened, said Tracy Police Sgt. Tony Sheneman. His injuries were not life-threatening.

Who is this God person, and why hasn't he been arrested?

I think his mental state is more the key than where the voices came from - wether they be from the tv, the voices in his head, a talking dog or God.

So you are saying a deity decided to help this man survive three gunshot wounds? More likely the three gunshot wounds simply missed vital organs.
