On another note, farmers are saying they can't get credit this season and as a result, will not be able to plant their spring crops. I have no clue how big or small this farmer issue is but if it's big, that is going to be a problem we will see real soon.

I live in Houston. We went through Ike in September. In my neighborhood, there was a food shortage for about 3 days. 72 hours. Not a long time.

Unlike New Orleans, we maintained control (Katrina was a whole 'nother animal.) But I saw with my own eyes and ears a measurable degradation in local society.

When it starts to get ugly, that ugly will spread fast.

Word of advice; Katrina, Rita, Ike. When things get bad, if you don't want to be told were you can and can not drive, stay as far away from the interstate highways as possible. Stay off of them. Cross as few of them as possible. And if possible, stay out of largely populated areas.

Or, don't take my advice. Learn the hard way.

If you plan on keeping your money post FDIC-apocalypse, you might want to start making withdraw arrangements now.

If you work in a bank, you might as well work in the WTC. The FDIC's run out, that's the plane. If you plan on remaining calm and staying put, good luck!

Members of the military are citizens as well. They just decided to go and serve and fight for something. They will not turn against the people, because they are the friggin' people. Those who believe otherwise are wrong. The fighting force are the enlisted soldiers. The ones we would have to worry about are the officers in high ranking positions. Not all of them are evil either though. We can't just make generalizations because WE DON"T KNOW JACK. I believe that those (people) who make generalizations such as those (generalizations) are ignorant themselves. Many officers are also just good people. If you ever read a freaking book like House to House, you might see just how "bad" those officers and Sergeants (who are enlisted level soldiers BTW) really are. You also won't see them speaking out publicly because they are still serving, and essentially have less rights while in the military.

Now the issue about police, well it's the same thing. They are just people. Citizens, fathers, sons, mothers, daughters, brothers, sisters, nephews, cousins, WHATEVER. They will not turn against the people if radical shiznit starts happening. They are the friggin' people. Especially if you are talking about municipal, county and state level officers. The most we should ever have to come close to worrying about are the feds. Even they are just people though. People in the government, well they're just people. I just urge people not to make generalizations and think that everyone is bad, because you cannot prove it to be true, and if anything should happen, you may end up hurting the wrong people. If TSHTF, will you gun slingers just start shooting at police officers and militarymen on sight? Well you'll just get yourself killed either way whether they are "good" or "bad".

Think about this also, if things became chaotic, obviously police officers and the military would fight against rebels. Why? Because they would be considered anarchist, out-of-control, and dangerous. With good reason too. Such warfare, if it were to happen, would lead to the deaths of many including innocent people. And who would cause it? Most likely such rebels. I myself would fight off anyone who would try to hurt me whether it be a rebel, revolutionary, police, military, whomever. A peaceful form of revolution should take place instead. Starting a war would only be reckless, idiotic, ignorant, suicidal, murderous etc. True reform in the government has to happen. In fact, I believe that the Constitution should be rewritten. It is outdated, and much of it has to be modified. I'm not suggesting that it should be eradicated, or that rights be removed, it should simply be rewritten and reinterpreted. Much of it would have to remain the same if it were up to me, since it is great already, but a lot of things in it are useless anyway, and many other things have to be added to it. Many events have happened since it's drafting and are happening right now, so it must be rewritten to secure more rights, and limit more wrongdoing.

I love the TV show Burn Notice. Anyone on the thread watch it? It’s about an ex-spy (agency never given) whose been cut by his agency to be cajoled into working for an even more sinister shadowy one he would prefer not to have to work for.

I love the show because in every episode there are usually at least two occasions where he narrates as he demonstrates how to turn common household items into all kinds of very useful and sometimes very harmful and deadly things. Kind of like a lot more menacing McIver.

There are two full seasons worth of episodes now and a lot of helpful tips for the overly or some might say suitably paranoid types.

Just a thought but unless you need poker buddies who needs a militia or the military to come save you when versatility and resilience and a few well honed useful skills can do the job for yourself?

Eagle while i back every bit of the video the op posted in this thread, all the posts i have seen from you are extremly vauge. Whats the deal are you in or out. If you have something to say speak it. Do not hide it in cryptic codes or riddles. If you really are a patriot i have much respect for you and want to work with you to over come the machine. If you take this topic as serious as i do i think you would agree it is best to just put out there what you know.

You speak as if you are above the members in this forum and that you know something that we don't know but yet to have said anytihng to back it up. Are you a attention whore who thinks they are special or are you really trying to contribute to a movement?

Reading some of the replies to the video gives me the sensation of watching an episode of "The Jerry Springer Show".

We have brainwashed military trying to tell us that themselves and those they serve are here to uphold the constitution.

We have crazies that are all gung ho,and for an all out revolution.

We have everything in between.

But most of all we have the classic american "get nothing done" attitude......to bitch and argue until the whole point of the conversation is lost and the authorities have to be called to restore order...(order?).

You're still not getting the picture. It matters not whether McCain or Obama won the election. The offshore rulers over Washington owned all the horses in the race. As always, they had it set up that they win no matter which candidate took the presidency. And in this case, they certainly wanted it to be Obama, so they engineered things to make sure it was Obama. How did they do that? Enter Sarah Palin. What a perfect plan to ensure the American voters wouldn't vote for McCain.

You're right... during the Bush presidency would have been a logical time for "all American people" to re-take their country, dissolve the current federal government and re-assert the American constitution to its fullest extent. But the tighter the noose gets around the neck, the more likely violent resistance.

You might think that the American people might not be quite as pissed today, had McCain won. But I assure you, McCain is just as capable of following orders and reading from the script as Obama is. Therefore, had McCain won the election... things would be exactly the same as they are today and the American people would be exactly as pissed off as they are right now.

You have to try to get this through your head: It makes no difference who wins the election. The 'corporation' owns all the horses in the race and this brave patriot knows it.
