Skeptic1, Heike, Zaimless, Rush, Blogstalker and I get together on Skype for a ladies chat. Most of the discussion was edited out (for obvious reasons - it was a ladies talk afterall) but tune in and meet some of the ladies around ATS and BTS who frequent DATS and the FCP.

Memory, the boat song had a larger part in the podcast originally (Skeppy is going to kill me), but on principle alone it was cut to only be in the intro..

LOL. No but by general consensus (Orange & Bloggy) we agreed that "Girls just wanna have fun" was too predictable. Lady Marmalade was a better choice. Wont admit that Miley Cyrus was in the first version too before the harsh editing.

Are you dissing my choice in music for the podcast?

Actually...Lady Marmalade was a great choice......can't go wrong with four divas collaborating on a classic (so very apt symbolism... )



Then I won't admit to being greatly relieved...

As I said somewhere else..gotta love a song that can harmoniz Mother f****.

I agree.. that's partly why I picked it. Something about Pink and Christina Aguilera singing together with such powerful voices and female empowerment... (Their french needs some work, but I won't hold it against them. They're pop stars afterall).

Ok....I am giving up on the boat song. It is wonderful, marvelous, deserving of a Grammy. We need to use it as a closing to every podcast. It is the best song ever!!!!

It just semed so abnormal for anyone to ever think ill towards the boat song that I just wasn't buying it...

Oh, yeah....

The song is magical, too. It creeps into your brain and haunts you for days, weeks.....weaving its special spell.

It is a wonder of lyrical and tonal quality.

Don't forget it has the power to take over threads too...
