Russian analyst: U.S. will collapse next year

www.msnbc.msn.com

MOSCOW - If you're inclined to believe Igor Panarin, and the Kremlin wouldn't mind if you did, then President Barack Obama will order martial law this year, the United States will split into six rump-states before 2011, and Russia and China will become the backbones of a new world order.

This is crazy, not like it hasn't been all around ATS in the recent past.. Everything is coming to a head and we can see it happening piece by piece. MSM reporting on this. It's out inthe oppen for all to consume..

You might want to do a search here. I think there are at least two or three threads on Igor Panarin.

No.

We are THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA not the DIVIDED STATES OF AMERICA.

And please, it's not like we will break up, it's more like they want us to break up.

Who are you going to believe? A Russian analyst or an American citizen like myself?

Do you really think we're going to break up?

Please. Give me a break

Oh by all means No I do not thnk we will, I think it's more of a Description of Russia than the U.S. - Propaganda machine - If you read the artical he states " Americans are in moral decline, saying their great psychological stress is evident from school shootings, the size of the prison population and the number of gay men."

laughable at best.... Gay Men - Please, lol, lol

I think his time table may be off a year or so, but I'm hoping it does happen. That way we can start over completely from scratch.

As far as believing you or him.

I would believe him over you. He gets the briefings, sees the intelligence reports and basically Obama made us look very weak with that quip pro quo deal with the missle defense. Yea, if I was in his position I would feel the same way.

You get what? News off the internet? Maybe ATS? You being an American citizen (as am I) has nothing to do with your knowledge of the subject. Just because I am an American doesn't mean that I'm privy to info that the heads of other countries are getting.

Please. Russia WANTS us to break up.

Why would you hope for our country to break up? Are you really that desperate for the destruction of the USA?

I'm just stating the facts here. Under no time in our history except for once has the union ever broken up. We've been through a depression and several other recessions and we've never broken up because of it.

It's not going to happen.

Well, gays are considered immoral in some countries. We are in a moral decline, look around you. Watch television after 1AM. You can't really say we are a country that believes AND lives by morals.

We are almost void of morals in this country, so yes he is correct.

Not that Russia is any better.

So having bankrupted their own country with the application of socialist dogma, and then switched to evil capitalism to recover from their living nightmare, plus losing the Cold War and seeing their country broken up into little ungovernable pieces, the Russians are now predicting the downfall of the United States.

I am strangely reminded of the Monty Python scene where the black knight, now missing his arms and legs tells King Arthur "ok, let's call it a draw".

Why do I want it to break up?

Because our system is severly broken and the fix that is being attempted is very temporary. We need to start completely over, reset everthing back to factory pre set. Then we can build from the ground up. If not then like every other government. This one will not last.

I love what America was, I like what it is and I hate what it is going to be.

I'm sorry but looking at it from a realistic perspective having the whole country divided isn't going to work.

You've got people having their extended families all across the country not being able to see each other.

You would have no centralized way of dealing with the crisis...

We would need to have a passport to visit the other 5 parts of the country...

Look, I'm all for states having rights, but wanting for the breakup of the country is a bit too unrealistic... especially when you've got this guy talking about how he wants for the USA to be owned by foreign countries after it breaks up.

What does that have to do with what they are saying. You are trying to discredit the messenger just because you don't like the message.

You are right, I concede. The break up is unrealistic no matter how much it is needed.

As far as being foriegn owned. I did't say I agreed with everything this guy said. After all, he wants us to fail.

I think that this is the desire of Russia.

I don't think that it is reality.

The US is going through a depression. The US will come out of the depression. I don't know how long it will take but I'm guessing a few years.

It may be a rough few years. That's life.

Actually I never mentioned the messenger, read it again.

I addressed the issue of the Russians continually and persistently trying to paint the US as a failing nation, a legacy of the Cold War.

With the current global economic meltdown, it's easy to do this kind of mud slinging, but I take this about as seriously as I take similar pronouncements from North Korea.

If you think it carries weight, then run with it.

It is most likely that Russia will collapse within the next 2 years. Their economy is in shambles, and the ruble is falling like a stone from a bridge. We are in excellent shape compared to the rest of the world.
We can stay that way, but only if the Democrats sit up and take a look at the real world.

Igor Panarin has been rooting for the demise of America for years. The fact is that Russia has more chance of collapse than the US does.

LOL. That is some funny logic you've got going on there. America the brave shall continue on until the end of time...

This is nothing more than Russian wishful thinking...

Without the US, Russia thinks it will regain some international influence that it has completely lost.

Sorry Russia, your hoping and wishing won't make it so...

BTW, with the collapse of oil prices, Russia's economy is as bad if not worse than the US's.
