Howdy! My wife grew up just up the road from you, in Blue Mountain, and around the corner, in Ripley. Used to come down to Ripley and go to First Monday, but it got past the point of being a good flea market. I just stay home when she goes south to see her sister.

Small world... did you know Hermie D. Goudy or Joe B. Goudy from Blue Mountain? They owned all that land on the corner of 15 & 2 that is now the ball field and some houses. My grandfather changed our last name from Goudy to Gowdy for some unknown bi-polar reason then relocated here in Hickory Flat on 5 & McKay.

Thanks for the warm welcomes, yes I know Mr. Phillps - our 68 acres is right next to his house there on Hwy 5... the car lot on 2 & 5 is ours.
