I am sorry I missed it as well.
I remember that day, on a contest I fell.
When I was younger and not so cynical.
The words flowed from my heart, not quite so clinical.
I raced along paths with my bike I would fly.
School was calling, but so many roads to try.
Adventure was waiting, smiles and laughs.
The dock, the water, the woods, the gaffs.
I will reach back in time and bring myself back to the present.
For that is who I was and should be.
Sometimes things change us.
It is up to us to decide what that change becomes.
It is up to us to stay free.
