The prime minister is expected to invoke the words of President Franklin D. Roosevelt, who proposed the government-financed New Deal to confront the Great Depression in the 1930s, the paper reports.Expect more quotes from figure heads of that era...united we stand/ect...
I really don't like the sound of all this, but, being as we're born alone with nothing...and leave this world the same way, nothing in the end really matters, it's all a illusion, if we were to all work together to level the playing field, where everyone could exist comfortably, what would be wrong with that?
I can see the flames on the horizon even as I write this, but, if we all went about our business, engaging in "activitys" that we REALLY enjoyed IE: craftmen building things/inventing things...doctors helping people...teachers educating people...see where I'm going...do/engage in activitys that we actually like and contribute to providing for the masses...then we could just replace/upgrade what naturally wears out, breaks down, ect as needed...eventually just engaging in "activitys" when/if/as needed...
I know this sounds like Socialism or whatnot, but, couldn't it be Utopia?
Utopia is a name for an ideal community or society, taken from the title of a book written in 1516 by Sir Thomas More describing a fictional island in the Atlantic Ocean, possessing a seemingly perfect socio-politico-legal system. The term has been used to describe both intentional communities that attempted to create an ideal society, and fictional societies portrayed in literature. "Utopia" is sometimes used pejoratively, in reference to an unrealistic ideal that is impossible to achieve, and has spawned other concepts, most prominently dystopia.
