Chem trails??? [images]

I live in Idaho and actually live by an air port, which not only bothers me because of the noise, but also because I see this sort of stuff all the time...








This plane actually never landed at the air port, it was flying a little too north and continued on the track right over the city and left that trail... Happened to be right when the sun was going down and sorta hard to see in the images, but that trail was very long and not dissipating... Wish the images were better...

Anyone have any idea on these images? calling all chem trail experts...

The data below is from the radiosonde (weather balloon) launched in Boise that day at plane crusing altitude. Conditions are right for contrail development, but not cold enough for them to persist for a long period (third column temperature, 5th column relative humidity)

It was a plane moving at high speeds... not a balloon... Thank you though..

He wasn't saying that it was a balloon. He was posting data collected from a balloon to show that the contrails wouldn't persist, but would appear and then dissipate pretty rapidly.

ahhh, ok, so like i said it was right before it got dark, i had to run in and grab the camera as the plane zoomed by... the trail seemed to last for quite a while... Also like I mentioned it was not landing or turning it was heading north...

It wouldn't have left a trail if it was landing. They only leave contrails in a very small window at higher altitudes. It was probably heading North into Canada or Alaska.

Wherever you live in the USA you'll see aircraft on transcontinental flights - just because you live near an airport doesn't mean more than a fraction of the aircraft in the skies overhead will be landing or taking off there. Likewise just because you're 100 miles from an airport doesn't mean you won't see hundreds of aircraft fly overhead every single day..

Just as here in England I get most aircraft flying between America and Europe pass overhead (in addition to those heading in to the London Airports).
