they should say - we are already outhere with bases!!

Just going by the information on the link, this isn't a bad idea, and it makes sense; figure a good deal of time in construction is just for the preparation of the foundation.

Now, all we really have to do is find a way to invent the plasteel mentioned in so many works of fiction... a spray-able material that's as strong as steel, but as light and thin as plastic... we'd have bases (or, in this case, the foundations) in no time at all.
