There are "intelligent" people who have never experienced ethics.
Ethos is experienced as Unity - the force which creates each of us and makes us one and same - Personality. (Some will call it God).

Unfortunately, those people, who maybe are not people at all, just phantoms perhaps, confuse "cunning" with "wisdom".

This makes them blind, makes them see all others as blind, and finally makes them believe of themselves they are invisible and nobody can see how rotten they are and what criminal things they do. They believe they are profiting a lot from other people's blindness.

These "phantoms" are now fully visible even to those who never bothered to look past their regular mug of beer.

And still they imagine, "see" themselves as "shepherds of the sheep".
They have destroyed all grass on this planet, they have skimmed all the milk, they have used all the wool, they have eaten all the chops, and now they start feeling starving.

And so they resort to reverse-engineering the history of their undoing, still unable to admit they've made a critical mistake.

They start to openly proclaim themselves "The Leaders of Humanity", "Rulers of the Planet".

Being unable to look forward, they look backwards and invent cure from thin air and inject it into the past - the ruins left after their actions.

And so they are going to recreate this ruined world and start all over again, even in a more glorious way!

The critical mistake they've made is, guess what? They never bothered to wake up!

And the dream of grandeur is quickly dissipating, quicksand is taking them down with it.

Not all of those you think are unawakened are not. There are plenty who are awake, but don't have the ambition you have. Plenty of us know what is really goign on, and are perfectly aware that they are idiots who would destroy the world in trying to take what they can from the blind.

Some of them may get into thier heads to play behind the scenes to force you to your obligations to the sleeping ones. More likley though... we already have what we want, and don't care to have more. We are content in the simple things. Who needs that much power and money? It is wasteful.

Sacrifice the sheeples for the good of yourself?

Majority of humans have always demonstrated selfishness and love for themselves throughout history. Keeping something for yourself that has been given, a gift or anything, is the same thing, nothing has changed.

I think you're all jumping on him for the wrong reasons. I don't think his intent was to spread selfishness but more along the lines of "if you are awake then don't waste your energy on trying to wake others up if they're not ready. It's not your job and it will cause you a lot of strife and grief." We've all felt this. Can you discuss topics here with all of your friends, family, co-workers? Have you tried? I have and with it comes a lot of grief. Trying to wake others up to the nature of our reality makes you an outsider. People think you're crazy, they join up like a typical mob to make themselves feel better so they can mock you and feel the warm embrace of the hive mind.

To the OP's point. Just be satisfied in that you are awake. Be happy that your eyes are open and realize it's not your place to open other people's eyes. They will open when they are ready or maybe they never will. The most important step is understand these things for yourself. Everyone is on their own path and will come to understanding in this life or the next or the next. It's not your place to rush them. Encouragement if they found the beginning of the path but your energy should remain fixed upon yourself because understanding is only the beginning.

I partially agree with this philosophy at times because I really wish more people would inform themselves. However, this is more of the elite/non-elite, us vs. them attitude that got us here in the first place. The "elite" thinks its their right to manipulate the masses for their own self gain, and there won't be much spiritual or psychological progress with this mindset.
