I don't see any black folks.

Must just be country-wide Conservative Flash Mob (CFM).

Could be like a racial thing or something..

Wow, there's a lot of real bored, neo-con sore losers huh??

They don't want a stimulus package and it looks like the republicans are deliberately trying to sabotage the package.

Just curious but whomever is not in favor of a stimulus package, what would you do to fix the country?

I hear Cuba's economy is improving while the rest of the world plunges. It's hard to believe from a country we refused to do trade with. Is this egg on the face of capitalism, or propaganda? Perhaps we can look to Cuba to answer your question.

Well the worst part of the whole thing is that the government couldnt care less what we think. We can protest until we are dead and they still will ignore us. They just dont care about the people that voted them in there. They never have and never will.

This was a great start!! Now we need every one we can get and as much coverage as the people can stand. The will and spirit of the American People will not be deminished we will restore our values in this country.

People just don't understand how the economy works in the big picture. If you outsource all of the jobs, hire a foreign country to make all of the goods that people buy, raise the tax on the companies that still remain here to do business, manipulate banks to allow people who cannot afford the Mercedes or Cadilac with 24's how in the hell are they going to pay the adjustable rate mortgage on the 500,000 house they just signed their name to for the next 30 years with no money down? Millions of people did this over the last few years and the banks targeted these people. They had alot of help and influence to make the decision that they made. So in reality we all screwed up because people could not resist the carrots hanging in front of them.

If you really look at this from outside the box, look at timelines and papertrails and decisions that polititicians made to do or not to do something to fix or prevent a problem, it almost looks like a better plan than anything that has been presented to fix it. It just looks like it was planned to happen this way.

If you build a big damn, fill it with water and then punch a small hole in it underwater, it is only a matter of time until it bursts.

WE THE PEOPLE put these idiots in office, WE THE PEOPLE NEED TO TAKE THESE PEOPLE OUT OF OFFICE and never allow this to happen again!!!!!

Term limits for all who hold a public elected office. Robert C. Byrd has been in the Senate for close to 50 years. How could a person that can't even stay awake during a hearing govern and maintain proper oversight?

Notcied the fourth (?) picture in the OP:
"You can't put lipstick on socialism"

What has the "stimulus-bill" or "bail-out" have to do with socialism? Isn't this a capitalist phenomenon?

What is the socialistic aspect that I seem to miss?
I am asking real serious here, I would like to know.

These are normal, average families. Parents, kids, grandparents, etc. We're just not used to seeing them outside their homes.

They're very peaceful (even asked the tea protests to open the paper packets and not drop the paper in the water) but they do need to be heard. They are America. I do hope black folk and everyone else joins as brothers in one voice.

BTW - MSM is again selectively shoving this to the backpages. Remember those 3-person protests that made it to front pages?

Given the lack of support conservatives are getting these days due to their totally clueless nature I guess that's a lot of people for them.

I would bet though that if there were rallies in support of the President's policies there would be thousands at them instead of a few dozen.

I have been to a few real protests and thought to let you in on some things you need to make it real.First you need some Black faces, even one if you can find, best a female.Hows about the RNC Chair?Second, some agents provocateur to smash stuff and get the heavies involved.Third, signs you can read with large letters, simple and fewer words. Some 'cred's'' helps a lot.Like where were y'all when the real damage was done, protesting that $3 trillion''war''?And lastly have a point, that helps.P.S.I almost forgot, you need some catchy slogans!"The people united shall never be defeated!" is one of the oldest. How about,"We rich will eat your kids!" or"Four more wars!" or "Keep the White House White!"Just a thought.

I'm happy that this is going to be a reoccurring event. I hope they become better organized and recognized across the U.S.

(yawn) Please pay close attention to the demographic... it's obvious they're part of the "white southerners" eerrr, I mean, Republican party. To be fair, I'm sure there's also some libertarians attempting to push their so-called "free market" ideology, while ignoring the fact their discredited theories will never, EVER, be put into place... perhaps in La-La land. Some of these people are out protesting "socialism," when it's clear they lack the intellectual acuity to even know what socialism is. If anything should rile up the masses, it should be the evils of capitalism... but I believe Einstein said it best:

The economic anarchy of capitalist society as it exists today is, in my opinion, the real source of the evil. We see before us a huge community of producers the members of which are unceasingly striving to deprive each other of the fruits of their collective labor -- not by force, but on the whole in faithful compliance with legally established rules. In this respect, it is important to realize that the means of production -- that is to say, the entire productive capacity that is needed for producing consumer goods as well as additional capital goods -- may legally be, and for the most part are, the private property of individuals.

It doesn't take much brain power to understand this whole "every man for himself" ideology is flawed, and detrimental to society, as the individual may only advance if he puts the needs of society ahead of his.

* Revoke ALL of the so-called "23A Exemptions." Bernanke issued them, they need to be revoked. Safety and soundness of the banking system must come before any one firm or group of firms. There are literally hundreds of banks that are perfectly sound. There are also a bunch of big campaign contributing banks that are bankrupt and have been for the last eighteen months. Americans know this - the secret is out and its time to quit LYING.
* Send in the examiners. Yeah, I know, they are talking about "stress tests". Uh huh. Let's have those examinations now and forevermore in the future be public information. If a bank wants to operate under our laws and have the privilege of fractional reserve banking, they can open their books and examinations at all times to the public. Period.
* No more conduits, no more SIVs, no more games. If your "assets" are worth 20 cents on the dollar today that is their price. If that makes you insolvent then you are - period. We have an FDIC and we have the authority to "cram down" failed institutions for a reason. Use it.
* Send in the cops. The actions of major institutions up and down the line since this crisis began in mid 2007 and in the years leading up to it is at best grossly negligent and at worst felonious. We the people are done with being the patsies of a handful of thieves and frauds enabled by the 535 crooks in our Capitol. STOP IT NOW and start jailing the crooks.

The disease in our financial system is lying, too much leverage, outright fraud and hidden bankruptcy - all of it perpetrated through and with the explicit permission of government agencies including Congress, The Executive and The Fed. We have lived beyond our means through fraud for nearly 20 years and this is no longer possible. As a direct consequence trust has been destroyed and private capital has fled our credit markets and will not return so long as these diseases remain in the system.

Hiding the facts cannot cure the disease; the excessive debt must be defaulted; you cannot fix it by transferring where the leverage goes, such as to Treasury or The Fed. The liars and frauds must be exposed, charged and locked up, not protected and bailed out. Standards of living will contract and people must learn to live within their ability to earn, including the government, irrespective of politicians that think they can promise to borrow ever-increasing sums forever.

Wow! seeing this take place makes me really happy to be an american, and see that the people still have enough cojones to stand up to an oppressive govt. Now all we need is for americans to take it further and remove the idiots in washington (starting with Obama, Emanuel and Clinton) for more honest individuals.

I wonder about that also! Starve the people, let them fend for themselves and on each other. If we don't know someone "elite", we may be screwed. Who knows but the way this is going, it doesn't look fun.

Well think about it...what is the easiest way to make everyone "equal" in wealth?

Bankrupt everyone....and that is the road we are on.

Is it true? I hope not..just making an assumption here...but it's hard to make much sense of what is happening.

I think you've hit on something right there my friend... the whole notion of "making everybody equal" which in and of itself is ridiculous. To think that everybody should be equal/the same is an oxymoron.

That we are created as equals (meaning, we were all created as human beings with the same inalienable rights) is one thing... but to say that we should BE equal (live the same way, eat the same way, be educated the same way etc. etc. etc.) is a ridiculous notion since everybody differs on this (tastes, goals, etc. etc.)

Which is why I could never wrap my head around the whole notion of socialism... it seems more of a constraining form of life (everybody is equal in all aspects, even in terms of their job ranks and what you get paid) rather than a form of life that promotes your own goals. Not to mention that I hate giving the govt. complete control of key institutions.

From all information I see, we need to repeal the current 13th Amendment, fix and re-instate the original, discard the 14th as it was never ratified and is unconstitutional.
Go over every single one amended after those, to merit their legality based on the original 13th...

Between the "new" 13th and 14th we got royally screwed...

Capitol protest assails Obama, big spending
www.lansingstatejournal.com...

A spirited crowd of unhappy Michiganders gathered at noon Friday outside the state Capitol to express their displeasure with President Barack Obama, the federal stimulus package, federal bailouts and assorted other grievances as part of a national Tea Party Protest.

Government controlled banks, energy, health care, education = socialism.
It is good the see Americans starting to exercise their right to protest. This is only the beginning. The federal government has gone too far. They making us all slaves to a debt we can't possibly repay.
