I need help examine these pictures

Hi MH,
Im going with Deran's explanation, i believe something on the patio window (double-glazed) possibly minute water droplets; this why they appear to same colour as the clouds nearby and why you see the colour separation on the close up.

I dont believe its len flare as the suns not visble and no lights were on in the room but refraction is possible since it was taken through a window.

Lightning1 and Star In A Jar say I should try to replicate the same results..not sure i can but will give it a go.
