From LA to San Diego counties and inland. Two are closing during news report.

Albertsons closing 4 now and more in April.

Boarding up, getting rid of carts...everything gone...

Something tells me that they may try this in Northern California too. We went to the store last night and yet again all the shelves where faced with very few cans or boxes behind them. They actually had a guy walking around rearanging the stuff as it was taken off the shelf.

No big suprise,when ever a new community is built big companys build stores ,fast food places etc,so consiquently when buisness slows,time to scale back,there are still a million grocery stores open,just now you'll have to drive 2 miles instead of 1,hey they are closing Starbucks too seems to be a trend

Albertsons is owned by Cerberus, the grocery chain is basically bankrupt.

This has been coming since '07

9 SoCal stores in total will close

There are new ones that open, like these:

These stores are not likely to close soon, coz lots of stuff in there is not brand -- made for Fresh & Easy, so it's cheaper. The right stores for Rotten & Difficult times California is swimming through.
