Photograph shows 'giant snake' lurking in Borneo river

Hoax or real?



Earlier this month scientists unearthed the fossil of a snake that was longer than a bus, as heavy as a small car and which could swallow an animal the size of a cow. The 45ft long monster - named Titanoboa - was so big that it lived on a diet of crocodiles and giant turtles, squeezing them to death and devouring them whole.

So there were other huge snakes living there.

I would love to believe this. I can't. Looks fake to me.

I'm the guy that usually says "It can't ALL be fake", but this one smells.

This is in a thread just down the page, have a look before posting.

It's already been debunked as a photoshop contest entry from a few years back.
