Sweeping arrests target Mexican drug cartels

WASHINGTON (AP) — Federal agents have rounded up more than 750 suspects in a wide-ranging crackdown on Mexican drug cartels operating inside the United States.

More than 50 of the suspects were arrested overnight in a series of raids coordinated by the Drug Enforcement Administration aimed at capturing members of the Sinaloa cartel, blamed for a rising tide of violence in Mexico and the United States.

At a press conference announcing the arrests, Holder also suggested that re-instituting a U.S. ban on the sale of assault weapons would help reduce the bloodshed in Mexico, where last year 6,000 people were killed in drug-related violence.

Somehow, this time, a ban on you is supposed to keep certain firearms out of the hands of Mexican Drug Cartels.

Bravo, Holder. Bra-freakin-vo.

I suppose the legitimate sale of semi-auto rifles in the U.S. is really a much bigger threat than the hordes of drug money funded para-military organizations carrying machine guns supplied by their own corrupt governments and arms traders from all over the world.

Makes sense to me.

Next time a band of coc aine smuggling militia men shoot up a small town in the Southwest be sure to remember that those rifles came from Bill's Gun Shack the next town over.

Holder must be on drugs to even think that an assault gun ban on US citizens will help stop the bloodshed in Mexico by the drug cartels. Why punish us, attack the drug cartels and put the blame where it belongs. So Holder get your head out of your rectum and start thinking!!!!

It is funny. All of the sudden all of these "cartel heads" are rounded up around America. If the media never reported on mexico's violence spreading over to Texas, the government would have let the cartels conduct business as usual. How about you totally whipe them out and stop with this BS already of "only attacking whent he media breaks the news" crap.
