C'mon, everybody knows the only way to keep those porky pet projects from being opposed is to let the other side add a few of their own.

We've all been blindfolded, bent over, and they're going for broke.

Stimulus Indeed, but not so much of the pleasant variety.

My butt hurts.

Do any of you really expect politicians to stop spending on pork?

This is the culture of Washington.

It is what they do best.

when this gets to be a weekly deal it
gets very hard to stand up and fight
for what is right.

But, I guess they know that.

Personally, I think that SOME of the funding for various pork projects is needed, but just not right now. I dont' think that this is the right time.

Or at least they could have changed how they "marketed" it, and said that the money was going to various projects that they felt needed the money.

But then that would have been too honest.

"NO EARMARKS"

I guess he meant after this one right???

Beck showed the clip of Clinton. What is the meaning of "is"?

Classic.

That's a good catch on "KNOW" earmarks.

The spending bill that Palosi is putting together now with all the earmarks is the governments normal spending bill they do every year. Obama made the comment of no earmarks on the bail out bill that has already passed and the second half of bail out bill for banks that is now in the works. We have to see what happens when he finally sees the spending bill when he gets it.

I cant believe there are still people out there who actually think there is a difference between democrats and republicans and especially here on ATS. I guess there are more tools out there than I thought...

I was wondering if anyone had a list of earmarks in the current stimulus bill that was not listed in the OP. I've looked everywhere and I can't seem to find anything, even though I know that I have read a really long list somewhere.
