Reagan increased military spending by nearly 40%. Bush spent an extra $1 trillion on the military in his 8years in office. We have near five times the spending budget on our military and our policing of the world than the EU, russia and china. Most of this kind of spending has been pushed by the "fiscal" conservatives.

We are not the police of the world, we have no business in other nations other than the hunt for Osama bin Laden. If you oppose the "NWO", big government and overspending I suggest you cut the excuses for the existence of the military industrial complex Reagan and Bush helped mold.

Decades? Were you around then? This "boom" started within Carters last term and ended in 1988 where by the 1990 recession soon followed. Reagan instead of improving the economy began to spend wild and give tax cuts instead of seeing to the economy first. What Reagan basically did was spend more while piling up a bigger crapheap behind the white house. He simple sweeped the economic mess under the carpet, made himself look good and left it to the next administration.

With those tax cuts, other taxes increased and took its place. Reagan played the part of president well. He was an actor in his hay day so no surprise...
