U.S. Energy Department Cannot Account for Nuclear Materials at 15 Locations

WASHINGTON -- A number of U.S. institutions with licenses to hold nuclear material reported to the Energy Department in 2004 that the amount of material they held was less than agency records indicated. Aaahh, more comforting news.

Let's see, so far over the past couple of years we have:

*Nuclear bombs flown over civilian populations.

*Nuclear bombs that come up "missing".

*Plague-ridden vermin "missing" from high-level facilities.

And now this little gem...

Log it all in your notebooks people....

...

Amazingly, these are 'corporations' duly licensed and permitted to handle the material.

Energy department lackies looking for a future in the corporate world would never dare antagonize them by holding them accountable.

Where do you think terrorists can 'procure' nuclear material? What do you think the source is? Read the article again, because not one of these organizations will be mentioned if we have a terror event involving radioactive materials...

Nice find. Duly noted and logged. S&F!
