The aircraft is said to have split into three parts when it hit the ground next to the runway. The plane is thought to be a Boeing 737-800 and all air traffic in the area has been suspended, Sky News reported

the main CNN pace (just go on www.cnn.com ) published a photo with the aeroplane, I guess there are people that survived the crash , however it is unlikely there are no victims..

Stories here as well BBC seems to be a lot of aircraft coming down lately? makes you wonder if budget cut on maintenance and training is having an effect?

yes, the race for profit can be blamed. Sure, there are regulations on maintenance, however the companies tend to make sure they never do more than the minimum expected. The only way to repair the situation is to increase the minimum required for the standard maintenance (for companies minimum=maximum). This would increase the price for tickets, however it is worth paying 20 % more and being allive, right?

The CCN cofirmed what i suspected: ""Some passengers are dead, some are injured and some are alive," an airport spokesman tells CNN"

The Boeing 737-800 tail number TC-JGE was the first 737-800 to be inducted by Turkish Airways in 2002 - the airline have regular training by boeing in maintanance of the new aircraft type.

Very interesting picture. The failure area is very large .. i wonder if the faliure occured before the crash , or if was caused by the crash?

the aircraft came down in 1 piece and snapped on landing at the weakest points (barrel joins)

Just heard an eyewitness report.

A guy saw the plane approaching Schiphol flying very slow at approx. 80 meters altitude, then he saw the tail drop down and it just fell out of the air.

It immediately broke up in 3 pieces and almost right after the crash he saw people walking out of the airplane, it seems there are no casualties.

Wow, survival rates of plane chrashes have gone up last month.

Yes, the news guy just said that 4-5 bodies were removed from the plane sofar.

I guess it was to good to be true to have no casualties.
