So I have done a little investigating as I was a little suspicious about the United Against Nuclear Iran ads here on ATS.

Here are some of my finds.

I done a whois lookup on the domain name unitedagainstanucleariran.com

Registrant:
Henley MacIntyre

Whois Results

So now we go on to look up more information about this Henley MacIntyre.

Henley MacIntyre is the executive assistant to the Deputy Assistant to the President and Director of Political Affairs.

Guess What?

Henley MacIntyre
45 Rockefeller Plaza
Suite 2162
New York, New York 10111

You are being propagandized.

YOU ARE BEING CONDITIONED TO THINK THIS IS OK.

Here is something else I noticed in my research that could be beneficial. I'm not 100% if it is accurate or not but it might be useful to some.

Whitehouse Directory

I found that I am not the only one that has looked into this ad. I have seen several other blogs, etc. with info about this. A simple google search will turn them up.

Cheers!

Interesting..SkepticOverlord, or any ATS site owners...you have some explaining to do! Letting Rockefeller/illuminati (our enemies at ATS!) intrude and subvert our precious institution here!

Update on this. MacIntyre is currently working FOR the State Department. Which means possibly that this website could have unlimited funding. One thing I have noticed that scared me is a growing internet presence with the new administration. I have noticed some impressive graphic designs on the website, youtube channel, etc.

Most likely they do not screen the ads at all. The way it works is they sign up with an advertising company who sells the ad space on the site and pays ATS for it.

direct.rightmedia.com...

This is the company ATS uses for the ads if interested in it.

I use to run an ad network years ago, so I'm pretty familiar with the practices and can easily answer technical type questions etc for you.

At best, ATS might have the option to block certain ads.

Don't know anything about the buyers themselves however.

I have two phrases for ya, that I think may apply. No Joke.

The first is- "Ads by Google".

The second is- The ATS Issues Thread

I mention the first because ATS doesn't set the ads that just pop up on ATS. Google does.
However, I mention the second phrase because it applies. You take this whole subject and you bring it to the attention of the Admins...who can tell Google NOT to place this "offensive" ad in their cashe of ads for ATS.

See? All better.

I've seen the ads... and from a pure online advertising standpoint, they're not bad.

I have no doubts that the typical ATS visitor sees right through the message.

And yes, the ads are coming through a "remnant network" that fills in our lower-tier impressions. We can block ads we don't like, but I thought it rather humorous that: 1) we were taking their money, and 2) they paid for impressions on a site that knows the score.

I do agree it is funny how you are getting money for impressions on their site. It is alarming though how the implications of this ad though. The meaning of it. Not on this site in particular but just in general. I'm wondering about input on this. What do people think? I mean this could very well mean something. The registrar being a higher level member of the state department. I wasn't saying that ATS was in on it. :-P

"Update on this. MacIntyre is currently working FOR the State Department. Which means possibly that this website could have unlimited funding."

--I always associated the push for war with Iran with the Bush administration. I thought (mistakenly, it seems) that the war-mongering would end when Obama took office. The fact that they're still pushing for an attack on Iran, suggests that they are still gunning for that pipeline (and the oil, don't forget). So, not much change there. Why am I not surprised anymore.

"One thing I have noticed that scared me is a growing internet presence with the new administration. I have noticed some impressive graphic designs on the website, youtube channel, etc."

--Yes, along the same lines, I notice that I have been spammed almost daily by the new administration. It seems like every day I get a new e-mail from "Barack Obama" or "Michelle Obama" or someone else associated with them. Usually they only bug you when they're running for office, and then you hear nothing after they're elected. I don't know, it's almost like...they're still running for office?

Weird.

well dragonqueen4peace...there you have it straight from the horses mouth itself. Make what you want of it. At the least we here at ATS appreciate the integrity of site owners that actually PERSONALLY respond to any and all 'accusations' directly without hiding beneath veneers and facades or MODS, or phantom bans. So if anything this speaks to the honesty and integrity (I would think or hope at least) of the site's operators and their intentions.

As I said before it is not completely about the ad being on here. It is about the implications of the ad. I KNOW ATS DOESNT HAVE CONTROL OVER THIS. But doesn't this seem like some sort of conditioning for something bigger? I mean do you understand what I'm saying?

The big players in the game today are Russia and China. And for that very reason we will never invade Iran or Pakistan. These countries are playing cards against the both of them. You see, China and Russia are both greatly dependant on oil from both of these countries, therefore we can utilize these countries as playing cards against the both of these soon to be super powers. This very card game can keep either of them from actually becoming the super powers that they so want to be. So do not look for America to invade either of these countries because they can be very usefull in keeping the status quoe in China and Russia. This should enlighten some as to what the United States' intention is toward these two (or four) countries will probably be...sabre11004...

I don't blame you, I wouldn't block it either.

But I must say I hate your ad provider. Makes my browser keep refreshing and stuff. Being someone who makes a bit of coin off internet ads myself, I don't block ads and such. But I must admit I have considered it because of the ads that keep refreshing within themselves.

Yea that's really annoying. I like to open like 10-15 ATS tabs at a time when I scroll through various articles/threads I plan to read and then start reading them all in order, and while those tabs are all open they make horrible clicking noises and refresh blips and hiccups and such, very annoying.

Sounds like you are using IE. My IE does that too.

I use Firefox, it doesn't do that clicking noise all the time. Plus, it has a built in spell checker, which is nice for posting. My spelling is not as good as it appears to be lol.

It's not as bad in firefox, but it does make my tabs look like they are refreshing/loading all the time which is annoying. I'll sometimes run some program on another tab while reading these forums, and so I know it's done by the tab refreshing thing, so I keep looking up and thinking something else is running etc.

I would have thought that these Ads would fall under the banner of Free Speech - an overused Americanism, yet a fundamental human right.

A lot of the threads on this very site are a lot more controversial than the ad. I would think ATS has some sort of standard for Advertising (no porn etc.) but for an ad to be banned just because it mildly offends us would make me think that ATS is being hypocritical. I, for one, am glad they are not blocking the Ad.

A nice saying to remember in this case: Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

Logged-in members should not see this behavior on the board... and even then, none members only get one refresh per ad unit. If you're seeing refreshes while logged-in, or more than one per unit, then something else is causing it on your end.
