One day when I was looking on factcheck.org at the Obama Birth Certificate artical I saw a interesting remark made by the Hawaii Department of Health. The remark is at the very bottom of the page.www.factcheck.org...

Here is the whole pharagraph with the remark in it.

Update, August 26: We received responses to some of our questions from the Hawaii Department of Health. They couldn't tell us anything about their security paper, but they did answer another frequently-raised question: why is Obama's father's race listed as "African"? Kurt Tsue at the DOH told us that father's race and mother's race are supplied by the parents, and that "we accept what the parents self identify themselves to be."

We consider it reasonable to believe that Barack Obama, Sr., would have thought of and reported himself as "African."
It's certainly not the slam dunk some readers have made it out to be.

"We consider it reasonable to believe that Barack Obama, Sr., would have thought of and reported himself as "African."

So if the Hawaii Department of Health consider Obama,Sr. African that means that the Hawaii Department of Health are the ones who put African as the race for the father on the birth certificate. What other infomation did the Hawaii Department of Health put on Obama's birth certificate to make him look like he was born in Hawaii?????? Could it be that the Hawaii Department of Health created a birth certificate for Obama??????

I'm not following your logic.

Shouldn't the State of Hawaii have put "Black" or "negro" instead of "African?" African is not even a race.

The inference to be drawn from this remark is not only that the race of the father was supplied by Obama's parents but also his place of birth. In other words, the validation of the COLB by the department of health in Hawaii does not prove he was born there because all its information was supplied by his parents, in which case we have to assume it was true and not falsified in order to provide him with an American nationality. The COLB is simply a record of what health officials were told, not necessarily the truth. The argument by Obama supporters that the State of Hawaii has confirmed that he was born there is exposed as fallacious. All it has confirmed is that that the COLB is genuine, not that the information in it is accurate.
