Take a look at the images from National Geographic of the Phoenix lander.

It could be real (why not?)

We know that water ice was found immediately beneath the surafce soil at the landing site, so we know water ice exists in that area and water vapor probably exists in the local atmosphere -- and the perchlorates theory for why liquid water would remain without sublimating seems to make logical sense to me.

The fact that they have possibly "seen" the water is new, but the fact that liquid water exists somewhere on Mars is not new -- NASA has been talking about this possibility for over 30 years.

The chinks in NASAs armor keep getting bigger.

How long before full disclosure?

What could liquid water mean for theories of life on mars?

very exciting stuff.

definitely water there.

methane is the new big thing.... could mean actual life as methane is a byproduct (farts) of life.

methane concentrations are highest where water is present.

They've done more than that... They've also admitted it unequivocally and shown photos that indicate it.

Surface water can exist on Mars, but only for a very short period of time due to the pressures of the atmosphere. It evaporates quickly. The probe Phoenix has demonstrated this many times over.

MGS has captured images of "seeps" when the surface ice melts and runs along the surface, then later take pictures of the same area and find only residue of where the seep occured and ran.

NASA just likes to admit things in scattered articles and papers so that it takes people 5 years to put all the pieces together. It is part of their game.

They have to strech out the projects and analysis so they keep the funding flowing. If they spill the beans all in one shot, that leaves them with nothing to do for the rest of the year till the next budget allocation, so they gotta keep the game rolling.

Cheers!!!!

that is so true.

they told us 8 years ago they would find water there by saying.... DO YOU THINK THERE'S WATER THERE?

then they were all like... yo so did you know theres some ice caps there?.... I WONDER IF THERES MORE THAN JUST THE CAPS??

then there was... and then ... i give up... JUST GET RID OF THE QUESTION MARKS and make them statements.

THEYVE BEEN TELLING YOU ALL ALONG!!

Due to our suns activity the polar caps on Mars is melting , Pluto is warming too, in fact the whole solar system is warming up, Thanks to NASA it can be verified.

We definitely contribute to it though, how can millions of tons of pollution going up into the air NOT affect the climate? Utter nonsense to suggest otherwise,.
