Ft. Bliss Responds To Allegations of Hoarding

Fort Bliss is responding to an Associated Press report that the "Army Emergency Relief Fund" is hoarding money.

The fund is set up to help soldiers who are struggling financially or have an unexpected expense arise.

The A.P. story claims that between 2003 and 2007 the AER grew to 345 Million dollars.

That would allow the fund to have enough reserves for the next 12 years.

Ft Bliss responded saying that the program is successful because of how it provides help to soldiers

Just another bit of info that needs to be known. ( I hope I did all this posty thing right ) Signs. I feel this is just another sign that the gov knows more than is being told.This will probably be my last post, Im not big on drawn out opinions, I like to get to the point, and bring things to peoples attention.hope this is enough characters.
