The more I think about this, the more excited I become.
Why?
Because, as others have noted in other threads, this HAS TO BE catching the elite completely off guard.
Obviously there are many things they would have liked to have accomplished if they WERE trying to initiate these events. First and foremost, a better crack-down on weapons control.
They didn't succeed there. NOW, the takeover of America will be impossible. Flat-out impossible.

They were caught off guard. The NWO was thwarted.
They may have something up their sleeves yet though... Keep a close watch on the developments South of the Border.

The only way to throw America down at this point would be for the Federal Government to initiate a full-scale attack on strategic countries around the world simultaneously, initiating a response on a world-wide scale against America itself...
Nobody would be that foolish.

Sometimes I have trouble separating the sarcastic from the serious on these forums.

Again, these are symbolic gestures. No practical effect whatsoever.

I think some of you need to pump the breaks and rejoin reality. These states are striking a wet match and some of you are expecting a bonfire.

You just do't get it, do you? Symbols are used to inspire people. Symbols can make people stop and think, to reflect, and lead them to action. The American Flag is a symbol, just like the Great Seal of The United States. These symbols mean something, they stand for something.
These resolutions may be symbolic, but they stand for the will of the people who are fed up with the way Washingtion tramples on the right of it's citizens. We don't work for them. They work for us!

Oh man, that would be so bad ass. I'm from Tennessee, and that would be great! I've been waiting, as well.

GO SOVEREIGNTY

And these symbolic gestures are so poorly publicized and so poorly understood that any potential rallying affect they may have is relegated to the "Other Current Events" board on ATS.

Like I said in one of my other posts, we won't see much about this in the MSM until more laws like that California Decriminilization Act put before the courts...
Then the ball is in the fed's court. We'll see where it goes from there.

Are the states willing to push the issue or not?
That's what this will boil down to. Your naysaying isn't any more well founded than my anticipation of what MAY come to be over this.

My naysaying is grounded in realism. Yours is grounded in extreme wishful thinking. The states have no power here. It's a shame, as I am a firm believer that a lot of stuff should be left to the states, but it's how it is. The SCOTUS will rule for the federal government in any significant challenge to the government's power.

What is this California Decriminalization Act? A Google search turned up nothing (which should, in itself, tell you something).

Every journey starts with just 1 step. To say it will do nothing is silly you have no idea where this could lead nor do I.

You're right. This could absolutely lead somewhere.

And hypothetically, Barack Obama could unzip a hidden zipper and actually be George Bush who might unzip a hidden zipper and reveal himself to be reptilian.

Anything is possible.

Just don't let excitement for the possible cause you to lose sight of the probable and/or likely.

We have an illegal alien sitting in the Black House now. Our Supreme Court has failed to follow the Constitution numerous times. Our 'law-enforcement' is a bunch of lawless gangsters, murduring and bullying. So what if they 'allow' the states to say they are independent? It is not true, reguardless. And we BOTH have a way of escaping these tyrants; the return of JC after the star almost hits Earth. I know I am safe. I find all this rather interesting and exciting. All of history is coming together for a grand finale. I'm glad to be here for it.

Wow.

There is just so much wrong with this post - both for content and what it says about the poster.

Do people like you really exist?

If so, I think I have identified the biggest threat to America: stupidity.

My response to your attack and inane drible is to point out that I am Mensa material, and I have probably read more books than you have ever seen from a distance. There is a conspiracy going on that was talked about many moons ago, in the Bible. You are thoroughly deceived now, so I won't try to 'enlighten' you. You believe what you wish. Soon, you will be forced by events to acknowledge the truth. And you will be astounded at the plethora of devices used by Lucifer to promote his big lie. Like Star Trek. You just don't get it, and we are not called to 'convert' you, but merely to say the truth. Events in the newspapers are happening exactly as foretold many moons ago. The chosen are not in any danger, and have no fear, in spite of all the crud going down. During the San Diego Firestorms in '07, things were intense here. I and a young man were discussing that, and we both felt like it was kind of fun, even tho I had just lost everything. I certainly was not bored. These kinds of experiences not only make you who you are, they show what kind of person you are, and if you have any integrity. Whatever doesn't kill you, makes you stronger.

Excuse me, but I don't think that the vast majority of Americans are in fact fed up. They just put an illegal alien into the White House, and they are fixated on his charm, just like a snake charmer. People out supporting him were interviewed, and told 'his' political views, and asked if they agreed. They wholeheartedly did, and then learned that the positions were actually McCains, not Obamanations'. Most people don't have a clue that he was the most liberal congressman, totally uncompromising, and beyond socialist. They just know they like him, much like some German named, I think, Adolph if I recall. By his own words a devout Christian. It has been said that a mark of a dying civilization is that the leader is not the most qualified, but the one with the best bed-side manner.

I agree completely, I feel safer living in a state with the "sovereignty" bill than one without. Due to the fact it has stated, we don't have to follow the road that the Fed. might take. We will follow the consitution!

So question to everyone, would you prefer living in a state that has this bill in place, or one without it, when the SHTF?

As a Knoxvillian, I say "Go Vols!" It may have no direct impact, but, the message is being sent. I am certainly glad I live in TN with our representatives vs Barney Frank or Ted Kennedy!

Maybe in 2 years people from the states with senators like Pelosi, Frank, Kennedy will wake up. I doubt it though.

Yes, but I can still piss further than you.

Bravo for making me laugh. At you, though. Not with you.

P.S. Mr. Mensa - it's drivel, not drible.

Call me a cynical bastard, but has anyone else wondered if all of these "symbolic" bills aimed at states rights are nothing more than old, white republicans rattling their sabers at the new black democrat president? Where were these bills when the Bush Administration was wiping its ass with the Constitution?

I think it has just gotten THAT bad now. It was bad under bush, but, now we are nationalizing banks, giving away money at warp speed(that we do not have) nationalizing healthcare where one must have their records checked by the government. The white house "czars" are a power grab and maybe enough is just enough! www.politico.com...

Oh, and everyone is a MENSA candidate on the internet!
