This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard!!! They are simply citing their name or their crew or company!!! GGG Unit, is his crew and clothing line, Hov is a nickname Jay uses short for J- Hova (like God of the rap game, and Ja Rule says Murder because his crew is Murda Inc.

Please, this is really off the topic in the first place but it is necessary for me to respond by simply telling you that you ARE WAY TOO WRONG!

Why would someone choose the name "G-Unit" "J-hova" or "Murder Inc" ?

G-Unit come from the Illuminati "G" which means several things, none of which has to do with gorillas

"Hova" might by Hoover

"Murder Incorporated" was the name of Al Capone's gang

this post was above my post, its the only reason i saw this post, but since its as absurd as it is, im going to comment

sir/ma'am simply put its marketing and if you dont understand that, then im sorry for your learning disability

if you think g unit or hova or murder inc are here as some conspiracy theory, well i think you've been spending a little too much time on conspiracies, take a break, go to the beach, smarten up

Really, what kind of marketing research have you done?

you are not making sense. black sabbath's music is very pro christian. sometimes using darker themes to scare people. other times using very strong pro christian lyrics to try to push people into accepting god. you have obviously not actually listened to many of their songs, or you cannot comprehend their lyics (which clumsily hit you over the head with pro christian themes).

in the end, all music is increasingly a front for tptb, and is used to control.

the op is right on. the rap genre is most indicative of this. a lot of rich kids pretending to be gangsters. and while most rap album sales are to whites, blacks are more likely to be influenced by it. and they are. this is evident, if you live in an area with a high percentage of black folks.

stop being stupid. wake up. you are being controlled from every possible angle.

For everybody's (dis)info, RAP was not invented, it evolved through the culture. Black people are a big part of American music culture - live with this fact already!

a lot actually

you'd be surprised, its part of my job being in the film industry

was part of my job in the formal wear industry

and was part of my job in the food service industry

any future entrepreneur wanna-be will tell you thats one of the 1st things you must learn to be successful in any business

on top of that, these names werent given to them as their rap career started, not all, but several of them had their names given to them by "the streets"

streets i have lived on and walked through

streets where knowledge of this board, and topics on this board are non-existent, and the people mentioned, whom these people supposedly got their names from, are completely unknown to those on those streets

plus on top of that, rap has been around in different forms since slavery

it didnt start in the 70s with flash, run, or the sugar hill gang

those people are called the pioneers only because they bought this form of entertainment to the mainstream

and from personal experience, rap doesnt glorify these streets, they explain and reflect on the way they are

these streets have been screwed up long before rap took its foothold, rap is simply the looking glass to a horrifying part of our world

and its not just black people looking through that glass, matter of fact if you understood market research you would know that a large part of those who are supporting rap, and buying the albums, watching the movies, buying the chlothes and "drinking that kool aid"

are rich and middle class white kids, or even asian kids, or now hispanics

its funny this thread claims to be about the black man and the black race, but if you look at hip hop recently, the biggest groups who represent rap and live that culture are the asian whites and hispanics with black people looking down on these fools for how they dress, act, and talk.

people speak of hova, probably dont even know who hova is

if you knew hova and saw his transformation over the years youd realize how stupid this thread is to even mention his name

hova doesnt glorify the streets and negative ways of life

have you seen how him and kanye and people of those sorts dress now?

its a modern day steven q urkle

read interviews, the same people who are supposedly implemented by the cia are telling the youth to stop the violence, stop the ignorance, to stop dressing like fools

and the few who arent, the few who are promoting violence, bitches and hoes and all that, are simply and obviously doing so for the marketing factors= bigger sales numbers for them and their brand

this thread's basis, is basically just the out of touch ignorant opinion

and truly sad and pathetic its gained this much attention here on ats

no no and no plain and simply put, no!

what you have just stated is pure and simple marketing

you take a catch phrase, say it enough times, put the flash and brand behind it, and now that brands trademark catch phrase is repeated over and over to get people to buy the album, the chlothes, etc

but, if we want to use your way of thinking

then all these news stations are just trying to subliminally influence us all to g g get bankrupt and get jiggy with foreclosures

its murderrrr for politics

None of that explains how Hova, G-Unit or Murder Inc got their names.

Jay-Z came from Jaz. Before that he rapped under "Sean Carter."
The name 50 Cent was already taken, so there goes that theory.
Murder Inc, like I already mentioned, are a bunch Black people calling themselves by Italian names.

LOL OMG that's crazy, I've never seen this video before. "Fronters perpetratin'" LOL yeah right. "Nubian Nation" what a joke LOL

But it looks like Jaz-O is wearing the symbol of the Shriners ???!

I never noticed that the word "original" was used in that way (short for "original Asiatic Black man"). You learn something new every day

I think "invented" may be too inaccurate. Rap had been around for a very long time before it became more "modernized" in the States. It is true the CIA traffics drugs, but I think they worm their way into a lot of music. Rap, I think may be manipulated in some way, as well as country, rock, etc.

From the OP's ostensible defense of country music, I'd say that a gaping hole has formed near the bottom of his/her face. Music can easily diversify people groups, which is good as long as we're mature enough to handle it. I think both country and rap diversify people to the point gaps begin to form, and that's where the immaturity starts. I've heard people from both country and rap severely insult each other. On another front, in the 70's and 80's when punk music was forming, metalheads and punks hated each other. Similar things happened. CIA fronts? Not so sure. I think certain record companies have manipulated rap and country to create these gaps before we are mature enough to handle them, thusly causing all the unrest. (Yes, I think some gangs have been directly fueled by the CIA, which includes the notorious Mexican Mafia.)

All music has had their incidents. As mentioned on the first page, yes, Varg Vikernes of Burzum killed Euronymous, but didn't eat the brains (I think the brains reference comes from Mayhem's former vocalist shooting himself with a shotgun and other members making necklaces from peices of the skull. Still, quite brutal).

I think the primary way the Illuminati has infiltrated music has been through record companies, who manipulate artists with money, contracts, and buisness. I'm sure a lot of artists don't write the lyrics they want to write because of said buisness.

As for the CIA inventing rap, that is simply too unfounded of a statement. Manipulated? Yes, as has every form of music. Has anyone seen this thread:

That's part of the problem: black people think that black people are blaming the white man. That is false: they are simply parrotting Marxist rhetoric. They need to get rid of the white man who's feeding him that garbage first, before they take on the other white man.

This is one crazy thread right here!

Rap music is just this....music! As someone mentioned Grand Master Flash and the Furious Five were the first ones to put out what is now called Rap. This genre has developed from the old R and B and the old blues.

What the CIA did was introduce crack coc aine and it funded the whole Contra thing, google Ricky Ross.

Now, I am so sick and tired of people saying that blacks who get educations and speak proper grammar are not black! Are you freaking kidding me here?
A person is black if they are born from African descent, how hard is that one to figure out. In my family we have crack heads, drug dealers, thugs, a couple in prison for murder and drugs, working people, college educated kids and adults. In fact out of the kids in the family that have attended college, most of them have crack addicted parents! Funny, with a family full of every sort....we ALL have the utmost respect for the kids that are doing something with their lives. In fact, the kids in the family that are all caught up in the streets are the most supportive of those that are making a way out here the right way. I have never one time heard any of the kids in the family refer to their relatives or friends that have pursued education as "Oreos, or too white".

I too have lived in drug infested neighborhoods and from all that I have seen from 30 years of living in the inner city is WHITE PEOPLE are the best and most reliable customers! It is nothing to see white kids so obviously from the burbs in their nice cars buying heroin or coc aine. It is past time that people woke the hell up and realized that the old racist ideas are playing out.

I do agree that the rap culture is warping some of the kids though. It has now become more focused on who has what and how much of what they have and how much bling they bought and wear to prove it. It is ridiculous that this art form has been so commercialized. The days of the Poets and Gil Scott Harrion are forever gone. Remember....." the revolution will not be televised...it will be live". For those of you cool enough to remember that one!

after living in savannah ga for 6 years, you really expect me to believe that the cia is making people want to rap.

you know how many times ive been approached by a guy who is just trying to make a few dollars or a cigarette, and will rap for you as payment?

and thats supposed to be cia control?

i dont want to hear it. these people rapping are trying to make a living doing what they do best, spittin mad fire for profit and fame. theres not much more too it.

The Last Poets and Gil Scott-Heron were socialists

Actually, drug use was most prevalent among the socialists in the "civil rights" movement. Most of the so-called "heroes" at that time were hardcore drug addicts.

It's not "rap culture," it's called hip-hop, geez ...
