Wow! Slumdog is now the top dog!! 8 Oscars in the 9 categories it was nominated for. A super flick for sure. I loved every bit of it. Here's what it bagged:

> Best Picture.

> Director.

> Best Adapted screen play.

> Best original score.

> Best song.

> Sound mixing.

> Cinematography.

> Film Editing.

Hearty congrats to all those who made it happen! Way to go!

At least Heath got his Oscar....that's all I cared about...

Had no interest in the other films nominated for major awards... Just never really liked dramatic movies that much...have to be in the mood for them (and no real reason to see them on the big screen vs. renting them and watching on a large tv at home)...

Now, something like a sci-fi flick, or some epic movie (or horror flick and audience reactions)...and I'm in the theaters.... (for example, Batman just isn't the same, even on a big tv at home).....

Whole heartedly agree on all points...I haven't even seen any of the other movies.

The Joker was the only award worth paying attention to last night...

When one movie takes all the big Awards, it makes for a pretty boring show.
Good for Heath Ledger.
I was pulling for Mickey Rourke too.

to be honest Heath Ledger sucked in Batman,
i dont care that the mans Died,
in my opinion thats prob the only reason he got it.

Slumdog Millionaire was a quility film
the deserved it.

Is this movie really worth watching? Because I haven't and based on the title it sounds like a rags to riches story.

I loved it. Powerful imagery, great script, totally engrossing with characters you can care about.

Yes it is a rags to riches story but what a story it is!!

Not only is the movie pretty good, but the music too is awesome! Now if you don't believe me, even the Pussycat Dolls have taken the Hindi hit song, 'Jai Ho', from the movie and adapted it to make it one super duper number! Seems it'll hit the number one spot once the video has been completed.

Here it is....

Enjoy!

its not like that (rags to riches)
it shows the life of a Child through childhood to adult hood
each question is a window to his life on what has happend,
