I thought that this would be a fun idea, since governments are running into a bit of a financial dilemma lately and all.

So, if the state has to choose between shrinking its departments and services offered as well as extras for themselves, or taxing us...
Well I don't think their choice is too difficult to figure out, really.

The usuals they look to are booze and cigs, fees like drivers' permits/licenses, hunting and fishing licenses, camping in state parks...

If we could decide what should be taxed, what would be your choice?

Example -- My idea is...

Being caught voting based on the media's influence = $500.00 fine/fee

So here we go - WE choose the sin tax! Any ideas?

How about a lying tax? Like when a politician says he/she will do something and then completely backtracks. We fine the politician, say 50 percent of one years pay. Oh, that would never pass would it. lol.

LOL Yeah that would pass if it was really US voting on the taxes.

Man, the country would be rich in no time if we could tax the lying politicians!

OK, OK... How about taxing ANYTHING in big demand to the political groups? Seriously, like lets tax the hell out of notepads and T-shirts being sold to anti-abortion groups. Or any biased social group, really. They will pay anything to force their views on others... Take advantage of it!
