Can you prove your statement that he is not a communist? I totally agree he is also a Socialist.

I agree with those who say that no matter who is president or who dominates congress, money is diverted to supporters of that faction. Our government is now run not by religion (the old fear) but by corporations and that overwhelms concerns of race or anything else.

It appears that the focus of the moment is a de-stabilization of our existing way of doing things. No doubt it was initiated by the Fed as it always is, but why now? The obvious answer is global government. Obama will certainly be fine with this as long as he has a powerful position, and as "president" of the US he undoubtedly will. there will be promises to stabilize the world currency. I don't think we're there yet. By the time we are, people everywhere will be desperate for things to calm down. I think those who want rioting in the streets will probably get their wish but without a strategy it will do little good. I don't think anybody's bible promises a chosen person to get us out of this one.

I think things will destabilize further. Democrats as well as Republicans selected Obama to be in place at this time, not just because of his world view but because of his questionable personal history. The man has secrets, other wise everything from his medical history to his college records wouldn't need to be sealed. At whatever time this information becomes available, chaos will result. That's why he's the one they needed. If young barry soreto attended Occidental College on funding for foreign students or his birth certificate really isn't valid or he traveled to Pakistan in college on an indonesian passport, it raises constitutional questions. I think it is not possible that the two major parties don't know the truth. the fact that the republicans didn't bring it up and settle it during the campaign means its being saved for later. It is intended to destabilize the country. I honestly don't think obama realizes this is coming. at that point our financial system will be in ruins, we already (for good reason) distrust congress. we might have lots of new bridges and schools but private business will have been struggling to compete with the goverments bottomless pockets for awhile. That's when some benign global government might seem the only answer that could settle things into something predictable.

Will we be desperate enough to give into this? Will states be strong enough to pull back and become sovereign to allow citizens to carve out something new? Hard to say. There's no way predicting conditions when the time arrives. I think Americans are pretty resilient and creative and that we will come up with something.

Thank you! And to johnsky, too.

Many of my countrymen have been idiocratized to buzzwords This leads to salivating like Pavlov's dog instead of intellectual discussion over ideology or issues. What better way for a political party that wants to stay in power to survive, no?
It was so bad in the 1980's when a Republican strategist deemed "democracy" just an illusion, a word to be used to gain votes.

I would not like to witness the rant of a moron of any political persuasion. I think when I was small, we used to avoid sidewalk crazies. Now I just turn off the tv or radio or don't buy their books.

You know, I think once msm took to heart the idea that they were "liberal" as if that were a horrible thing, they tried to be more "balanced" by trotting out anyone who was to the right of them, people so far to the right as to unbalance a boat.

The United States Navy and the U.S. Department of Defense have decided that their Northwest Training Range Complex, in the State of Washington, should be expanded, and have devised a draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), dated December 2008, for public review and comment. The expansion of their area of operation will include all of the State of Washington, all of the State of Oregon, part of the state of Idaho, and Northern California. This area will also include large areas of the Pacific Ocean from California to Washington. (The map designating this program area also extends throughout Northern California to the San Francisco Bay Area under a “warning area” designation.)

I'd never heard of this until that last post and then I started searching.

The Navy has declared that this draft was distributed to our elected representatives. If so, then why haven’t our elected officials spoken up to defend our rights to be heard, required more public meetings and hearings in California, Washington, Idaho (where not one was held), and Oregon? The U.S. Navy, the U.S. Department of Defense, and the Commander of the U.S. Pacific Fleet have decided, without our consent, that that are going to use the Pacific Ocean off the Coast of California, Oregon and Washington and the land over four states to test weapons of war. They did not contact Senator Harry Reid of Nevada to obtain permission to use the Nevada Test Site for these warfare experiments. Instead they decided to use public lands, the Pacific Ocean, private property, wildlife, and humans as test subjects for warfare testing in four states. The Navy also has decided to contaminate our air, water, and soils with the chemicals used in these programs. They fail to list many of the chemicals that are to be used in these programs. Thus, under the Freedom of Information Act, I am requesting a complete listing of all chemicals that will be used during these testing programs. It is easy for the Navy EIS to state that they can mitigate for such toxic usage but fail to disclose a complete listing of said chemicals. Also copies of contamination studies conducted at other military test sites where contamination problems were found and at bases (like Fallon Air Force Base).

go to the link and read the entire article. Very scary stuff.

Here's more detail. they claim there will be no "impact" on anything except possibly underwater mammals. Didn't they say that about radiation experiments in Alaska a long time ago?

Here's the notice of public hearings.
Northwest Training Range Complex notice of public hearings

lternative 1 consists of an increase in the number of training activities from baseline levels and force structure changes associated with the introduction of new weapon systems, vessels, and aircraft into the Fleet. Alternative 2, the Preferred Alternative, consists of all elements of Alternative 1. In addition, Alternative 2 includes an increase in the number of training activities over Alternative 1 levels and implementation of range enhancements. The Draft EIS addresses potential environmental impacts on multiple resources, including but not limited to: Air quality; water resources; airborne acoustic environment; biological resources, marine and terrestrial; cultural resources; socioeconomics; and public health and safety.

More information on the Northwest Training Range Complex EIS

As far as I know the only Oregon published notice of this meeting was a small notice in the Lincoln City News Guard. One paper copy of the EIS/OEIS was supposedly placed at the Driftwood Public Library in Lincoln City.

Oregonian newspaper

Not much notice was given of this single meeting, and not enough time to read the 1000+ page document
EIS in pdf sections

deadline for comments has been extended to March 1 but I can't find any mention of this subject in the Portland newspapers so I guess we need to read minds to know to send feedback.
