Its a very long thread so I didn't read it all. Forgive me if this has already been mentioned. ATS has there own survival community for those who are interested. ATS survival

Personally I think Glen Beck is a loon but in this case he is performing a true service in telling people to prepare. Being properly prepared is really not as hard as people think. It just takes a little effort.

What do you meen "IF" The country has already been taken over by "crazy left wing"

The fact is that the country has been taken over by both extremes. What's missing are enough people who refuse to play the "us vs them", "liberal vs neocon" game. Where are the folks who will doggedly sort the issues and quite with the freakin ideologies?? The world is not so simple as ideological ideas as left vs right and socialism vs capitalism etc. WE NEED BALANCE AND SANITY FOLKS (or we are going to come unglued)!

I also regard him as crazy, but when nations are in distress and the population lies in oblivion is crazies like him that creates awareness with their rant.

Glen is bringing an awareness to the citizens that is long overdue on television.

His worse case scenarios are in all probability what will happen, and Gerald Selente is a whiz at future trends and futuristic events. This is a very well done show i must say. i never thought that FOX could pull off a show like this.

I hope Glen Beck keeps informing people of what is very likely to happen, under the guise of "SCENARIOS"

Its scarey but these are very scarey times.

His show is brilliant and informative. I may not agree with everything he says, but i say bravo to this show.

I can't help but wonder what all of this is doing.

I really want to be optimistic.

What if the worst is already passing?

Is it possible that through constant doom and gloom predictions that collective fears and panic can actually help make the worst happen?

I think we need to move away from fear and preparedness and try some collective positive thinking and creative problem solving.

Everywhere I go everyone has an utterly defeatist attitude and seem resigned to the worst.... If that is truly the case everywhere and for everyone then perhaps all is lost.

Remember what is best inside of every person is what built the economy in the first place... Are we going to let some greedy bastards and fear mongers take that away from us?

Make the best of every day we have, never give up hope, don't be afraid.... Prepare for survival... Plan for success!

Survival is the key word.

I think this is what this show is about.

There is definitely something to be said for unselfishness.....But if things do unfold in the manner that we are speaking, your feelings are going to cease to matter to anyone but those closest to you. THIS is why we are advocating a plan, planning for the worst, the arming of yourself and your loved ones. This could very well end up a life and death struggle in the end against the very neighbors that you thought you knew so well, or who knows what else for that matter.

Its a big problem is when people blame one politician over another.

Yes, Bush was bad, but what makes you think Obama is going to be any better. Because he SAYS so? Bush acted very differently than what he SAID. And I didn't vote for Bush, because something about him CREEPED me out. Just like Obama CREEPS me out. I didn't vote for him either. Everything about him has been hidden.

I have known something is wrong in the world for a long time. Anyone with any common sense at all should be able to see that some things that go on just don't make sense. But there are so many pieces of the puzzle out there you can put together, and by now, the picture should be coming clear, unfortunately, it's not the picture anyone wants to see.

Not acknowledging it is not gonna change the picture though!!!

What people need to GET is the fact that every president and administration for the last 100 years or so has followed a line that has lead us to this point, IF they ended their presidency ALIVE.

The ones that tried to do something about the wrong road we are on, ended up DEAD.

This whole situation is a lot bigger than Repub or Dem, and a lot bigger than just America. It's the same all the way around the world. It's GLOBAL in scale.

People need to realize this is about GOOD and EVIL, and right now, EVIL is winning.

For somebody that do not follow the markets and is not current on the way the American economy works, they have the choice to turn the head the other way and hope for better times.

But for people like many in this boards that are very aware of the markets and follow every single actions of the government they are very aware of the real situation in this nation.

For your sake my friend is good to listen to people that know.

Me to, who doesn't. But reality keeps intruding into our lives.

What if the worst is already passing?

What if the worst isn't here yet.

Is it possible that through constant doom and gloom predictions that collective fears and panic can actually help make the worst happen?

It is possible but how many times do you hear story's of bad things happening to the nicest people.

I think we need to move away from fear and preparedness and try some collective positive thinking and creative problem solving.

By all means move away from fear. but do not tell people to move away from preparedness. No matter how much positive thinking you do bad things are going to happen. Mother nature doesn't give a hoot about positive vibes. You do nobody any good if you tell them not to prepare and the worst happens.

Everywhere I go everyone has an utterly defeatist attitude and seem resigned to the worst.... If that is truly the case everywhere and for everyone then perhaps all is lost.

Its more like shock not defeat. These people are just waking up of course when you first wake up and relies the terrible is happening and your not prepared because to many people told you to move away from preparedness, it comes as a huge shock.

Remember what is best inside of every person is what built the economy in the first place... Are we going to let some greedy bastards and fear mongers take that away from us?

If we fail to prepare they sure will take it away from us. by preparing you are taking the power back. bad things are going to happen regardless. If you die from not being prepared that is loosing.

Make the best of every day we have, never give up hope, don't be afraid.... Prepare for survival... Plan for success!

Finally something I can agree with you on. by preparing for survival you do plan for success.

Marg, I am one of those people who know.

Just look at my post history.. I even posted in the survival forum.. I am as up on current events and the economy as anyone can be and honestly it doesn't look good.

The point is... what good does it do to create this climate of fear and uncertainty?

I'm not saying people should not be prepared for the worst... But why dwell constantly on the negative?

I am seeing a lot of depression in normally happy people... That scares me more than anything related to the economy.

Negativity doom and gloom in high doses is taking its toll on humanity.

Are you trying to say I am posting off-topic?

His original post was speaking of the validity of Glenn Becks words, which has a lot to do with the OP. I was trying to prove my point that just because he is a business man does not mean he is a liar as well.

What is the point of a thread speaking of world gloom if everyone thinks it is a hoax?

If anything, you are the one trying to derail this thread.

There is a big case of the blame game here in America, and everywhere else for that matter.

With all of the irresponsible people in this country in regards to money managing and credit, do you not think it is our leaders job to steer those who are in the wrong direction, into the correct direction?

Unless people get educated on money managing, we can not be naive and expect every single person in this country (or millions upon millions, I am making an estimate) to be able to manage themselves in such a "complex" world (hate to say that, but it is for some). This is in regards just for the housing crisis...and I also understand there are other factors.

Saying that if once everyone was no longer selfish does not fix much.

Maybe if we all could provide ourselves with an infinite amount of energy from nothing, then we could all have some heat for the winter!

Do people truly not realize that every dollar that is being printed in this stimulus bill, our government is borrowing...it is all perpetual debt and the only thing this plan Obama has put into action will further bankrupt our country...

All I have to say is those of you that are calling the OP fear mongering, divisive, or dangerous to the world and the common good, need only read the below for proof of a much more dangerous attitude for the common good of humanity.

Thanks for the reply. Um, ya It does make me alot of friends. You must be mormon. I try not to ever judge anyone, thats Gods job. However, it is more than fine if they judge others, that is what their religion is about. Thats their entertainment. I really am sorry I feel this way. This is where I first found out what racism really was. Anyone who thinks the way they do about things, I don't trust. I have seen numerous incidences of the most hypocritical and backstabbing nature because of the "one true church and others are all going to hell". Like I say I am usually not this way, but I just dont trust them. I do not trust people generally, so no exception here. Everyone has a personal agenda and it usually involves bettering their personal situation and not much else. Thanks for speculating about me! I feel all special now.

When will we realize religion(fanatics)always kill more people in more wars than any other reason! ....ever heard of jim jones?

Moromonism is a cult in every definition of the word.
It is a false perverted teaching of christianity based on one mans dream with no verifiable evidence to back it up. DNA evidence proves their claims are false. Their are places written thousands of years ago in the bible where you can still go and touch and see with your own eyes whats real. Dont give up your soul for one mans claim! WTF?

Sorry for the off topic rants OP and Mods.
Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to share what I've learned, explain my position and voice my opinion!

[edit cuz im a moromon err a morON, there thats right I think!

I was going to go through your post and shred it point by point but A) That's off topic and B) You clearly already believe you "know" the truth about these things, so discussion is pointless.

People can ignore this kind of talk. That's up to them.

But they will also be the ones, if the SHTF, that will be scrambling at the grocery stores with the rest of the crazed mob fighting over a box of Cheerio's.

I choose not to be that person. If it doesn't come to pass, then I can breathe a sigh of relief and say..."I'm glad everything got better."

I'd rather not be the guy who thought it would get better and then pay the price when it didn't.

Who do you choose to be?

We are soooooo way behond polititians and parties.....this is a New World Order, (have you heard?)...Bush was a pathetic figurehead, and Obama is a puppett also, as much as i hate to admit it.

The message is: PREPARE FOR THE WORST AND THEN BACK OFF AND LIVE YOUR LIVES. Hoping for the better outcome, of course. But if TSHTF you will be mentally ready.

How come so many get side tracked from what the OP put up?

It is a wake up call. It's time folks! Everything can be saved at this point.
But it's like a sale. If you don't act now, it will be gone.

Beck and Clemente tried to explain it to everyone last month.
This shock is based on history and lots of experince.
The Govt. went wrong 96 years ago with the creation of the Federal Reserve Bank.
Over time their owners, thirteen families, have slowly put things into this position. As of late, last couple of years of Bush as a set-up, Patriot Act, etc. And now for Obama to wipe it out.

There are no political sides here. They are all bad. This is the Republic as it should be at stake.
Beck could not be anymore clear about this. He has been asking since the TARP as to "What will it take for the American People to wake up and do something?"

There are a couple of ways to do it. Two really. And they should be done at the same time. It involves the Separate State Govts, and YOU!
Yes YOU!
