I stumbled across this article and thought it was worth a read. I didn't see it elsewhere on ATS. After reading it I started thinking about why if they are training to get this person in the article why there be an article in the papers for the person to read.

Guardsmen to conduct urban training at Arcadia in April




The Carroll National Guard unit will train on urban military operations by holding a four-day exercise at Arcadia. The purpose of the April 2-5 drill will be to gather intelligence, then search for and apprehend a suspected weapons dealer, according to Sgt. Mike Kots, readiness NCO for Alpha Company.

I still dont get if it is a total drill or not?

"The drill will culminate in the apprehension of the suspected arms dealer."

Oh and heres what you do, hello can we search your home and vehicles for our drill? no. *close door.

URBAN TRAINING!!! Well, that is a stretch, considering Arcadia has about 450 people and they are in the middle of nowhere! LOL

There was another post on this. Someone mentioned that these folks that were training would be volunteers...?
I will try to find and post.

Yep that was me in this thread, as well as another that was closed due to multiple threads about the same thing. The military members aren't the ones volunteering, the residents of Arcadia are if they want to participate in role-playing for the soldiers training.
